We had the good fortune of connecting with Carly Weinberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since we met, my husband and I talked about wanting to make a real impact in the neurodiverse community, but it always felt like something we’d tackle down the road. However, when we moved down here from New York, that dream suddenly seemed a lot closer to coming to fruition. I was struggling to find a school that provided the kind of quality education and support services I was used to in New York, and it was frustrating to see so many local programs not providing therapies. It seemed like the students were missing out on the collaboration and care they really needed. We are both inspired by the desire to make a real difference in people’s lives. Our goal is to be the ones who truly support families by creating solutions that offer continuity and consistency in a field that often lacks both. It’s important to us to address these gaps and provide meaningful change for those we serve. My husband and I realized we didn’t want to wait any longer to start our own school. It was a leap of faith, but we were ready to turn our dream into a reality and the response we’ve received has been extremely rewarding.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Project Infinity stands out from other schools due to our unwavering commitment to high-quality standards, beginning with our exceptional staff. We prioritize the needs of our students and their families, actively seeking their feedback to ensure we continually improve and provide the best support possible.
The foundation of our business stems from our complementary strengths. Carly brings creativity and vision, while Jon contributes the structure and business savvy necessary for success. My passion for working with individuals with developmental differences has evolved from a hobby into a rewarding career, fueled by our collaborative approach.
While risk-taking has traditionally been outside my comfort zone, Jon thrives on it and has taught me to see risks as opportunities. His encouragement has been instrumental in my growth, pushing me to embrace challenges and leverage my talents. Together, we balance each other perfectly, and I am grateful for his unwavering support.
Ultimately, we want the world to know that at Project Infinity, we are dedicated to creating an environment that not only supports but also celebrates the unique strengths of each individual.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend were visiting the area for a week, I’d want to keep things relaxed and fun. We’d start with cocktails and bites at Rosewater, then spend our days soaking up the sun at the pool or beach and exploring Atlantic Avenue.
We love to go with the flow, so whether it’s a spontaneous BBQ by the pool or checking out live music, we’d let the vibe of the day guide us. It’s all about enjoying the moment!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
