We had the good fortune of connecting with Walkiria Marin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Walkiria, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Starting a business is about betting on yourself as the solution to a problem—and then proving it!

For me, the biggest risk was moving to a new country at almost 50 years old and still believing in the value of my professional video production skills for TV channels and businesses. It was a leap of faith, but I knew that with dedication and the quality of my work, I could succeed.

Risk, in my view, is a guide—it points us toward something we deeply want to achieve. And with effort and commitment, it transforms into accomplishment. My journey with Link Miami Video Agency is a testament to that belief

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Link Miami Video Agency is a boutique video agency by choice. We focus on elite, high-impact projects because I’m passionate about providing personalized service to each client and meeting their unique needs.

What sets us apart is our specialization in supporting international TV channels when they come to the U.S. for news or sports productions. These channels send their talent (TV Anchors or TV Correspondents), and we ensure they broadcast their programs and cover events with the highest video production quality, as if we were an extension of their own team.

This trust has led us to work on significant productions, such as filming President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago for a British documentary, recording at the White House for Brazilian correspondents, and broadcasting entire newscasts from Washington DC for clients from Brazil, Spain, Honduras, Argentina, and more. We’ve also covered major events like the Latin Grammys and the Viña del Mar Festival’s visit to Miami.

Being an elite agency for TV channels from Latin America and Europe fills us with pride and drives us to remain the go-to production hub for high-level projects.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I want to start by saying that I love Miami and Fort Lauderdale—really, anywhere in South Florida. It’s the best place to live and work, and I’m in awe every day that I get to call this home. When family and friends visit, my first stop is always a walk down Las Olas Boulevard. Then, I take them to see the Hard Rock Hotel Guitar Light Show, treat them to a slice of Key Lime Pie in the Town of Davie—my hometown—and end the night learning to dance country music at Round Up.

For a more traditional Miami lifestyle experience, nothing beats renting a private yacht to enjoy the stunning skyline, followed by dinner at Garcia’s on the Miami River. We’d continue the night at Santo on Calle 8 and finish with a limousine ride from American Transportation!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my partner and husband, Santiago de Leon. His support has been instrumental in shaping the services we provide. Santiago has an incredible ability to bring to life the technical aspects of the productions I design. Without his expertise as a TV director, it would have been much harder to achieve the level of service and trust we’ve built with our clients.

In business, success often comes down to having the right partner—and when that partner is also your life partner, it’s even better.
