We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Mosi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Prayer and not settling for less have been two things that have contributed to my success. When I feel that I’m stuck or do not have a sense of direction, I pray and ask God to show me signs to help me know that I’m on the right path or help me overcome this obstacle. Never settle for less because when you do you miss out on all the opportunities that are right for you versus what you are comfortable with.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a fashion assistant and fashion writer! I first got my start when I studied abroad in London and Paris and knew that fashion was one of my passions. I loved fashion shows because they always told a story and it was up to the viewers to highlight what pieces will be trending or staples in pop culture. What sets me apart from others is that my brand focuses on inclusivity and highlighting Caribbean culture. I got where I’m professionally today by taking risks and never settling. It was not easy and the best way to get started is to use today to set goals towards your success! The lessons I learned along the way are networking is a key to grow your brand and support others there are in your niche! I want the world to know about my brand is that my brand is a creditable outlet that highlights trends, fashion news, and Interviews that are positive and uplifting

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Manhattan which is truly one of the best boroughs in New York! We have some of the best fine dining and restaurants. I would take my best friend to go for drinks and food at Imani’s Caribbean restaurant in Brooklyn. I would also recommend going to Trincity’s Roti Shop in queens for some of the best roti and Caribbean delicacies. ! Pasty’s pizzeria in the Upper East Side has some of the best pizza and pastas. New York has some of the best views and we will take a visit to on Top of the rock to see views of the city! Lastly, if you’re a fashionista like me head down to SOHO to get your daily fashion fix for great shopping!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout series to the founders of Callaloo Box Jamilia and Malika A. I first met them in 2017 on Instagram and I sent them a message expressing how much I loved their brand due to our common connection and interest to Trinidad and food. We have supported each other over the past4 years and I thank these ladies for allowing me to collaborate with their brand. This was my first brand collaboration and it showed me how to be a professional and successfully share the story of their hard work and brand.
