We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Tomic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Anto’s creation was a process that unfolded over time. It wasn’t something I planned from the beginning; it started as a simple hobby. Ideas developed slowly, one after the other, and at first, the path ahead wasn’t clear. But then, almost out of nowhere, the vision solidified, and everything came together in a way that felt perfectly aligned.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always had a deep passion for fashion, music and the creative arts, drawing inspiration from the world around me. I pay close attention to details, textures, and color combinations, finding beauty in even the smallest elements. Anto is inspired by the essence of summer—beautiful beaches, exotic travels, and luxurious vacations in thoughtfully designed rustic hotels.

What truly sets us apart is our vision, our commitment to uniqueness and the care we pour into creating each piece. Every design is crafted to ensure a personal and unparalleled experience for our clients. Every step of growth excites me, and each piece I create brings a sense of anticipation. I never fully know how something will turn out until it’s complete, and that process is a thrilling part of the journey.

Reaching this point has required dedication and hard work. It hasn’t been easy, but the path to creating Anto felt natural. The ability to create something from nothing brings me immense joy. Overcoming challenges requires patience with yourself, and once you have a clear understanding of your vision, things start to fall into place. To overcome obstacles, you must love what you do and believe in it.

This is just the beginning for Anto. It’s not just about clothing; it’s about a lifestyle and experience that fosters meaningful connections.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To give my friends the best time in Miami, I would start with a relaxing day at South Beach and Ocean Drive, then catch a sunset at South Pointe Park. Explore the vibrant Wynwood Walls and immerse in Cuban culture in Little Havana. Maybe take a boat tour around Biscayne Bay, Key Biscayne and unwind at Miami Design District . For dinning, I would treat them to brunch at The Standard, Seaspice or Cafe Basstille, and finish the night at the rooftop bar like Juvia or maybe Mila. If they want to experience night life further I would probably show them the Nightlife in Brickell or Wynwood. As a bonus for the whole week trip and adventure I would probably organize Seaquarium or Jungle Island. I do have friends with kids so that would be on my list too.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
From a young age, I was surrounded by crochet and knitting, growing up in the countryside with my large family. My grandmothers, my mom, along with neighbors who would drop by for coffee and a bit of village gossip, introduced me to these crafts. It felt natural for me to learn, as it was part of my daily life. My grandmothers and my mom were my first sources of inspiration and guidance, and I would definitely dedicate a shoutout to them for the influence they’ve had on me.
