We had the good fortune of connecting with Glass Cities and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Glass, what are you inspired by?
We’re inspired by our friends, siblings, relationship, Miami’s energy and craziness, the beach, macro-economics, politics, insecurities, uk culture, Venezuelan and Mexican folk music and news- we pretty much try to give our point of view about everything that surrounds us
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our music is bold, explosive, and deeply emotive—a reflection of the unstoppable spirit of who we are and where we come from.
We’re most proud of those transformational moments when fans tell us our music has made an unforgettable impact on their lives. Whether it’s a song that helped someone push through their darkest days or a live show that felt charged with shared energy, those connections fuel us.
Getting to where we are today has been a gritty, relentless journey. Miami is a magnet for incredible talent, and carving out our space in such a competitive scene was no small feat. The setbacks were challenging, but we turned every obstacle into an opportunity to grow. Through it all, our relentless passion for our craft and fearless belief in each other carried us forward.
The greatest lesson we’ve learned? Authenticity is unstoppable. When you’re real, people feel it, and that’s where the magic happens.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Without a doubt and always first, Lagniappe. Best spot definitely in Miami- and around the Fort Lauderdale area you can definitely have a good time at Glitch Bar or The Warf. (Don’t forget to grab a bite at Mister 01)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course our families, loved ones and friends- David Parnes, our manager, we wouldn’t be here at all without them. Miami’s underground music scene, we’ve made a lot of new friends around here and… no one ever gives enough credit to this but big shout out to Youtube and any online learning-method out there. Omar went to Full Sail, but Sam and I (Luis) pretty much learnt everything we know through amazing and skillful musicians/ producers that share their knowledge to the community. Respect.
