Meet Ashley Oliver | Ignite Social Inc Founder/CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Oliver and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My original career path was to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and worked in emergency medicine for several years before realizing this was no longer the career I wanted to pursue. I took a leap of faith and left my corporate medicine job in 2022, and decided to go all-in on scaling a beauty business with a fellow colleague. After helping grow this business to earn multi-six figures using the power of social media, I realized that there was a huge demand for other businesses needing social media managers and content creators—as social media continues to emerge in today’s world.

Ignite Social was created to operate differently than other standard marketing agencies. We are a small team of real social media experts that want to have a personal relationship with our clients to become obsessed with their brand as if it were our own. Our job is to handle the creative aspect behind others’ social medias, so they can focus on providing their services and building their clientele while we represent the forefront of their brand.

What should our readers know about your business?
My journey to founding Ignite Social began with my dream of becoming a veterinarian—a path I pursued relentlessly through academic excellence, internships, and years of work in veterinary medicine. But after repeated setbacks and debilitating burnout, I needed a change. I enrolled in my MBA, jumped into a full-time position within the beauty industry, and discovered a passion for building businesses. In under a year, I helped scale a beauty brand to multi-six figures as its Operations Director, mastering marketing, logistics, and strategy. An unexpected pivot in that business no longer included me in it, so I took the loss as my biggest opportunity. It created a fire in me that was burning greater than anything I’ve ever experienced. I knew whatever I was going to do wasn’t just for my life, but for the legacy of my future family. And I knew God would provide.

Ignite Social was founded in March 2024 and is the epitome of my story. It was built to represent me as a person, the passion behind my expertise, and the overall brand image I use to empower others to ignite their own fire. I worked closely with marketing companies in my previous position and led our in-house social media marketing efforts. I knew what worked, what didn’t work, and what it was going to take to help other businesses grow using the power of social media. I developed our operations to be unique from others, serving as a complete out-source agency that gives our clients the feel of having an entire team working for them in-house. My team is young, hungry, and motivated to help write the success stories of other businesses in light of our own. In just 6 months, Ignite Social scaled to a six-figure enterprise and expanded to service clients on a national level.

Though I am so proud for how much we’ve grown in just a short period of time, I remain humbled by the feeling of what it was like to be stripped of everything I had once worked so hard for—not once, but twice . My experiences and my faith make me who I am today, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my story with other aspiring entrepreneurs.

My message: Despite your circumstances, life is too short to not follow your dreams. Stay focused, work hard, and remain faithful. All will be how it’s meant to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Growing up in Coral Springs, FL, I feel it is the perfect center of the South Florida region. I love the keys (I am getting married there next year!) But if I were to keep my friend more local, I would say my favorite spot to hangout at is Delray’s Atlantic Avenue. I’ve always loved the vibrancy yet cleanliness of the strip. Another spot I love is Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. As I’ve gotten older, keeping it casual yet classy is definitely my forté!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Though I’m only 26 years old, I’ve been through many seasons of life. I’ve endured significant career changes, years of intense schooling, the loss of multiple loved ones, and battled mental health issues. There’s only one thing that was able to bring me up after hitting rock bottom, and that was God. After rededicating my life to my faith and keeping my relationship with Jesus at the center, my life changed drastically. I believe the bible is the blueprint and holds the answers to all of our questions. I’ve turned to His teachings, I continue to seek His guidance, and I trust that He is in control. Once I surrendered to His plans, I’ve watched blessings on blessings pour onto me. If you asked me 5 years ago what my intentions were with my career, I never would’ve thought I would be a successful business owner—this quickly for that matter. All of the glory and my success goes to God. And I believe this is only the beginning.
