Meet Julia Bonda | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia Bonda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Since childhood, I have been passionate about photography, and when I took my first shots on film, I focused on capturing the beauty of people, especially women. That’s why I simply started doing what brings me joy and fulfills my need to create.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I began my photography journey, I explored various genres, including wedding, family, and children’s photography. However, I soon discovered that my true passion lies in capturing women. Women’s beauty deeply inspires me, and it’s the area I want to continue growing in. Each woman’s beauty is unique, and I always aim to bring out that individuality in my photographs. I strive to create stunning compositions around them, almost as if honoring and celebrating their one-of-a-kind essence through my art.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, let’s imagine our journey. I would definitely start with Florida’s stunning white-sand beaches. I love the beach on Key Biscayne with its lighthouse, as well as the one lined with palm trees right by the water. Florida’s nature also holds a special place in my heart—its botanical gardens, parks, and zoos are incredible. I absolutely adore animals.

Of course, we’d take a boat ride through the canals, enjoying the view of downtown Miami from the water and marveling at the city lights in the evening. A stroll through the charming streets of Palm Beach would also be a must. The area feels so European, with hidden corners, beautiful fountains, and cozy cafes to discover.

And we certainly couldn’t skip Miami’s vibrant nightlife, filled with rooftop bars, restaurants, and lively venues. There’s so much to do and see in our amazing state that a week simply wouldn’t be enough to experience it all!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My desire to keep going and continue doing what I love and am passionate about was undoubtedly influenced by my surroundings. The people who came into my life are also filled with creativity and a drive to create something unique, innovative, and beautiful. For example, one of my closest friends is a photographer, and we always have so much to discuss and learn from each other.
