We had the good fortune of connecting with Francie Novo Dueno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francie, how has your work-life balance changed over time?

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Working for a local municipality makes you think out of the box and sometimes within a budget. Along the way I’ve made a lot of friends. My dad showed me early on in life what a business plan was like. My mom showed me the power to keep going after his passing. There have been several people who have come into to my life to share their own talents and perfect mine. Above all my 3 kids kept me striving for perfection. It’s been a crazy ride and staying flexible has always been the reason to stay focused. Knowing that I poured my heart into each event, and given 100% and knowing that one day I have lifted a legacy behind for not only the city but for my kids and grandkids.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely would have to start at the beach. Born and raised in south florida has always been a blessing. We would stay local… there are so many amazing places in the area starting with breakfast have to have some croquettas from Vicky Bakery and a Pizza Pastel. Then after that in cafecito! At that point get ready to experience the most amazing week there are so many places to eat and visit we will need another vacation from the vacation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think all the families I have created an eventful day for are the ones to thank. After so many years they keep supporting all the events and ideas.. This includes my own family and kids who very seldom miss my events and tell everyone about them.
