We had the good fortune of connecting with Nidia Gonzalez & Maria Paneque and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nidia Gonzalez & Maria Paneque, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We started our own studio because we felt the studio space was missing something. As creators ourselves, we not only wanted our own space to create but also a space that was made for creators/not a traditional studio.

Each corner was designed to be used in content.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Before Dream Studios, there was me, owner of Dreamy Socials and one of my social media clients in the medical world, my studio business partner.

We came together because we each have our own strong suits. I bring in a lot of the creative and social energy needed to run this studio & Maria does a lot of the organizing, backend, and administrative work that people don’t see!

I really think what’s going to set us apart as a studio is you’ll never know what’s coming next. I say this because Maria & I both don’t know how to keep calm and I know we’ll always be stirring up new ways to excite our audience! Besides that, we’ve rented plenty of studios ourselves in the past with broken equipment, dirty floors, and overall just haven’t had the most pleasant experiences and we aim to always provide exceptional experiences.

Building this studio has had to be the hardest thing I’ve had to build personally because when I built my agency there was no big investment or risk. This studio was the biggest investment I’ve ever had to make but I’ve already learned so much from the few months the studios been operating.

Just 2 months of being open and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With our studio being in Wynwood, some of my favorite spots to hit up when I’m on set/working at the studio would be kicking off my morning with Breakfast at Zak the Baker, hitting up the studio for a little content sesh, then getting lunch at Suviche (basic I know but I love them so much), I’m usually home by dinner but Wynwood is known to have some of the best food! Cowy Burger is incredible! Pastis too!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my co-founder for the studio! If it wasn’t for her, we couldn’t have done this. From the moment she became my client, she had so much faith in me- enough to eventually become my business partner! Now we’ve built this beautiful project together and can’t wait to see where it takes us.
