Meet Victoria Hall | Owner of Soccer Stars & Amazing Athletes

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My journey to starting this business was fueled by a lifelong passion for soccer, ignited in my childhood in Glasgow, Scotland. After witnessing the need for innovation in coaching and a desire to create lasting, positive experiences for young players led me to Soccer Stars. Driven by the belief that introducing children to soccer fosters not just skills, but a lifelong love for the sport and creates lasting memories. I wanted to build something that would enable me to share my passion and make a difference, ensuring every child has the opportunity to experience the joy and transformative power of sports.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Soccer Stars emerged as a leader in children’s soccer by prioritizing a comprehensive development approach over two decades. We’ve distinguished ourselves by crafting age-tailored programs that not only enhance soccer proficiency but also cultivate confidence and social skills, making us a favored choice for young athletes starting as early as one year old.
My leadership, enriched by extensive experience in youth soccer development and advanced coaching credentials, has been pivotal. This includes roles like Technical Director and Coaching Educator, which have shaped our program’s foundation. What truly sets us apart is our dedication to fostering life skills alongside athletic abilities. We’re not just teaching soccer; we’re instilling teamwork, leadership, and resilience in a nurturing, joyful setting.
We’re proud to be the trusted choice for families in Miami, Virginia, and DC, where we blend structured learning with fun. Our mission is to empower children, equipping them with both athletic prowess and vital life lessons.
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Balancing professional excellence with personal values has been a significant learning curve. I’ve realized that maintaining the integrity of our programs while cherishing family time is paramount. We’ve resisted pressures to compromise quality, understanding that true success lies in honoring our mission and nurturing meaningful relationships.
Ultimately, I want the world to know that Soccer Stars is more than a soccer program. It’s a commitment to shaping well-rounded individuals. We strive to create lasting positive impacts by delivering top-tier programs that honor our values and foster a balanced, fulfilling life for everyone involved.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d want to give them a taste of everything that makes Miami special! We’d definitely hit up some classic spots but also dive into some hidden gems.
Day 1: Beach vibes! We’d start with a morning at South Pointe Park Pier, soaking up the sun and people-watching. Lunch would be at Smith & Wollensky, right on the water with amazing views. Then, we’d stroll down Ocean Drive, taking in the Art Deco architecture and vibrant energy.
Day 2: Culture fix! We’d explore Wynwood Walls, getting lost in the street art and grabbing a coffee at Panther Coffee. Then, we’d head to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens for a dose of European elegance and stunning bay views. Dinner would be at KYU Miami for some delicious Asian-inspired cuisine.
Day 3: Little Havana adventure! We’d wander Calle Ocho, enjoying Cuban coffee, live music, and authentic food. We’d stop by Domino Park to watch the locals play dominoes and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening, we’d catch a show at the historic Tower Theater.
Day 4: Key Biscayne escape! We’d rent bikes and explore Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, climbing the lighthouse for panoramic views and relaxing on the beach. Lunch would be a picnic with fresh seafood from Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market.
Day 5: Everglades exploration! We’d take an airboat tour through the Everglades, spotting alligators and other wildlife. Afterward, we’d enjoy a delicious meal at Robert Is Here, a fruit stand with amazing milkshakes and local treats.
Day 6: Downtown discovery! We’d visit the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) for modern and contemporary art, followed by a stroll through Bayfront Park. We’d grab dinner and drinks at La Mar by Gastón Acurio, enjoying Peruvian cuisine with stunning city views.
Day 7: Farewell feast! We’d end the trip with a special dinner at Joe’s Stone Crab, indulging in their famous stone crabs and key lime pie. Afterward, we’d head to The Broken Shaker for some creative cocktails and a final toast to a fantastic week.
Of course, no trip to Miami would be complete without a visit to The Citadel! It’s a truly unique spot that captures the city’s creative spirit. We’d spend an afternoon exploring the shops, enjoying the food and drinks, and soaking up the lively atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to connect with the local community and experience Miami’s vibrant cultural scene.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely, when I think about who deserves a shoutout for my journey, it’s unequivocally my mom. Her influence has been the bedrock of everything I’ve achieved. Growing up, I witnessed her tireless work ethic, her unwavering dedication to providing for our family, and her incredible ability to overcome any obstacle that came her way.
It wasn’t just about the financial support or the practical help; it was the way she instilled in me the values of perseverance, resilience, and believing in myself. She taught me that hard work isn’t just about achieving a goal, but about the character you build along the way. She showed me, through her own example, that with enough determination, anything is possible.
There were times when things were tough, but she never wavered. She always found a way to make things work, to keep us going, and to keep us believing in a brighter future. Her sacrifices, both big and small, have allowed me to pursue my passions and to strive for success. So, to my mom, I dedicate this shoutout. Thank you for being my biggest supporter, my mentor, and my inspiration. You deserve all the credit and recognition in the world.
