Hi Maria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started Nellarina’s magical Fairy hair in 2020, the thought process was completely different than what it would be today… I started my brand in the middle of a Pandemic with no intention on making it a business but you know what they say when you love what you do you won’t work a day; and that’s exactly how Nellarinas was born. The key ingredient when I decided to put it all together wasn’t so much what but the WHO AND WHY I was doing this for, and then everything clicked! What started as a Fairy hair business has now translated into a name brand that specializes in event entertainment regardless of Age and gender making Nellarinas an all inclusive household name in Palm beach!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Nellarina’s magical fairy hair has been my most fun creative project that organically turned into a whole Business… what started as something fun to do during COVID with my little girl became what it is now… I currently extended the menu of services so I hired two AMAZING assistants and have also added to the menu of services face painting, glam and custom made designs for all sorts of parties making Nellarinas the fun spot for both kids and adults! I have learned so much, however I feel that the biggest lesson that I have had to master is realizing that many will try to imitate what you do however nobody will ever be you and that’s what sets you apart!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As someone who has lived in Palm beach county for 23yrs I would totally go to sooooo many cool spots like Bennys on the beach for brunch or Delray Beach has amazing dinner spots like Gary Racks, Hampton social, el camino for a more low key Mexican spot, for drinks and a little dancing definitely throw social which was the old Il Bacio; definitely go to the Morikami gardens and why not take a stroll at gumbo limbo in Boca followed by yummy lunch at Mizner park! I would say up north I would definitely spend a nice day in Jupiter lighthouse followed by lunch at Guanabanas or catch some nice little surf at Juno beach.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As a Woman of faith I give all the credit to the most high, but I also believe that I wouldn’t be anywhere without community! I want to honestly dedicate this shoutout to AALLLLL my fellow mompreneurs! We literally are BADASS! I would like to give a HUGE shoutout to the leader of one of the most amazing and talented organizations I have ever had the honor to be a part of. Her name is Laurin Spyker and she is the leader of the Brunch Babes, LLC. We are a Community of over 500 women in south Florida from all walks of life and backgrounds who share one common interest… to grow and build real authentic relationships before business and to be quite honest it is the most encouraging and real sisterhood I have ever experienced.
