Meet Preya and Jade of Bhavii Brides

We had the good fortune of connecting with Preya and Jade. We’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Preya and Jade, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
To be able to apply our passion and turn it into meaningful careers. This was instilled at an early age as we were both raised with families who have generational entrepreneurial mindsets. Jade’s grandma operated her own horse training school and her dad followed his passion and currently owns a construction company. Preya’s maternal grandparents inherited rice farming and her paternal grandparents operated a taxi service while running a liquor store. Her dad also followed his passion in auto repair and owns his own shop.
Both of us have always been drawn to the art of beauty and tradition. We find it fulfilling to help someone feel confident and radiant, especially during such significant cultural moments like weddings.Starting Bhavii Brides gave us the ability to freely express our creativity and have full control over the quality of work we provide. Together, we felt as though the industry lacked the compassion we have that connects the art of Hair, Makeup, Henna and Draping to building genuine relationships with brides as they navigate putting together their dream bridal look.

What should our readers know about your business?
The road of entrepreneurship is winding. We have gone on small side side quests along the journey to finding our true path within the wedding industry, particularly eastern weddings. Our love of bringing people calmness and showing off their beauty on one of the biggest days of their lives… there really is nothing else like it. It’s more than simply creating a wedding makeup and hair look, or giving bridal mehndi, it’s a day remembered forever by our brides. We are honored and proud to witness such momentous love on the regular. We give our all, and some days it’s not easy, but each and every union is SO worth it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well that depends which city! We love a good food spot, and South Florida has so much to offer in that arena. We love Gulf Stream Brewing Company up in Fort Lauderdale for their food and their unique pints. Hair Circus is a fantastic and unique spot for a cut and color if you need it before your big wedding day! We think Oakland Park hosts the best city sponsored events in South Florida, very family friendly including dogs. And of course we cant forget the beach!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to recognize each and every bride that took a chance with us! Each one of them made Bhavii Brides what it is today, and we wouldn’t be the same without them <3 Wether our bride received our wedding concierge package with full makeup, hair, henna and sari draping included, or simply chose an a la carte service, Bhavii Brides is forever grateful to our brides and their families!
