Meet Ryan Mayiras | Chief Executive Officer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Mayiras and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Candid Studios, we believe in using our talents and platform to make a lasting impact—not just through the memories we capture, but in the lives we touch and the opportunities we create. Our business model is rooted in accessibility, quality, and community.
We are committed to offering our clients affordable photography and videography services without ever compromising on quality. By keeping our pricing accessible, we’re able to help more couples, families, and businesses capture their most important moments. This also creates consistent work for our team, allowing us to support creatives across the country with full-time opportunities—not just freelance gigs. Because we operate 24/7 and cover a high volume of events, we have access to industry-leading tools, training, and resources that most independent professionals simply can’t match. The result is a better service for our clients and a stronger, more stable career path for our team.
We take pride in delivering exceptional value—professional-quality work, top-tier editing, and a seamless client experience—at a price that makes sense. This helps small businesses elevate their brands, helps families preserve memories, and helps our team build long-term careers doing what they love.
In addition, we invest heavily in our staff’s growth. Our company provides ongoing training, mentorship, workshops, and hands-on experience to help our photographers, videographers, and editors reach their peak potential. We don’t just want to be good—we want to be the best in the industry. And that starts with a passionate, well-trained team that’s empowered to grow.
Whether we’re helping a local nonprofit tell their story, supporting a small business with a promotional video, or delivering a once-in-a-lifetime wedding film, we show up with purpose. We are committed to our clients, our communities, and our mission to create meaningful work that makes a difference.

What should our readers know about your business?
What truly sets our business apart from others is the systems and processes we’ve put in place. I’m constantly fine-tuning every aspect of our operations to deliver a better experience for our clients. Everything we do is centered around understanding our clients’ vision and bringing it to life with precision, creativity, and care. I work tirelessly—often around the clock—for our clients and our team. This company is my entire life, and I’ve poured everything I have into building it from the ground up.
Our first year in business was incredible. To this day, I honestly don’t know how we did so well, because I was still figuring so much of it out as I went. But we delivered, and word spread. When we began expanding into new markets—especially into an entirely different state—that’s when things got really tough. We lost roughly 75% of our business during that transition. Opening multiple locations is always a challenge, but opening in a brand-new state? That’s another level entirely. Especially in an industry like wedding and media production, where you have to be perfect every single time.
I’ve learned so much through that process—especially about SEO, automations, and how critical marketing is to keeping a service-based business sustainable. You can be the best in the world at what you do, but if people can’t find you or if your internal systems aren’t scalable, you won’t last. That lesson has shaped how I run the company today.
This business isn’t just about making a living. It’s about building something lasting—for our clients, our team, and the industry as a whole. I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built. I consider them family, and I know they’d go above and beyond for our clients the same way I do.
Eventually, we plan to take our business national. Our goal is to become a household name across the country for photography, videography, and media production services. It hasn’t been easy—but the passion is there, the vision is clear, and we’re just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
To be completely honest, I don’t get out much these days. I’m almost always working—and when I do take a break, I spend that time with my family. That’s where I find the most joy. My days are usually packed with client calls, editing projects, and managing the business, so slowing down with loved ones feels like a luxury.
Recently, my sister came to visit and we decided to keep it simple. We explored the Everglades and made a trip down to Key West, but the best part was just spending time together—watching movies, playing games, and enjoying good conversation. We’re not huge on the nightlife or tourist spots; we really just enjoy each other’s company and staying in when we can.
Traffic where I live is a bit crazy, so we tend to avoid the hustle unless it’s for something meaningful. If we’re going to travel, it’s usually tied to work or we’ll plan something a bit bigger out of state to make the most of it. I know it might not be the most glamorous answer, but for me, the best time isn’t about where we go—it’s about who I’m with and being present in the moment.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my wife, Alison. This journey has been anything but easy—building a business from the ground up comes with a lot of late nights, tough decisions, and moments of uncertainty. Through it all, Alison has been by my side. She’s the first person I go to when I need advice, a second opinion, or just someone to talk to. Her support means everything to me.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible team. I truly believe we have the best team in the entire industry—talented, hardworking, and committed to excellence. We’re more than just coworkers; we’re like family. Every single member of our team brings something unique and valuable to the table, and I’m beyond grateful for the dedication they show day in and day out. I’ve always said I’ll go above and beyond for our clients at every opportunity—and I know our team feels the same way.
Our success isn’t just about one person—it’s a collective effort. And I’m proud to share this journey with people who care as deeply as I do.
