We had the good fortune of connecting with Ernesto Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ernesto, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Sensations was born from the idea of creating an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression. Local to Miami, Sensations hopes to bring an awe inspiring and breath taking audio visual productions from raves, to weddings to private events. Illuminating and bringing to life any event to ensure a sensational experience.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sensations, is a professional audio-visual production company located in Miami. We specialize in dynamic lighting experiences and high quality audio. We create immersive and intimate lighting environments from corporate events to weddings to festival style production. It’s been a long and exciting journey since we began. One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced is securing the necessary funding for equipment and new opportunities. These limitations have impacted our ability to scale. Our time and equipment are extremely valuable to us, yet receiving fair and timely compensation for our services has been a recurring issue. We navigate those obstacles through constant negotiations and maintaining a high level of community presence. Since we’re in the business of people, we often encounter clients who carry negative expectations shaped by past experiences. We’ve learned to carefully listen, adapt, and craft a tailored model that best fits each client’s unique request. We proudly serve a wide and diverse audience, and our goal is to deliver the best possible audio-visual experience for every event, no matter the size or setting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop on a week long trip is a morning walk through Biscayne National Park. The southern park. A game of mini golf at Palmetto Golf Course, then Arcade Odyssey. A trip to the everglades for day of airboats, alligators, the Schnebly Redland’s Winery. A trip to the keys for snorkeling, fishing, and a good bar. Have to stop by Unseen Creatures for a burger and to watch live music there. We’d have to also party at factory town or Space. These are some of the places that I love in Miami. We have to fit in there, the beach, a drive through movie in downtown, axe throwing, ect. There are so many places and creative events to go to in this city. A complete brainstorm of options. The possibilities are never ending!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, we’d like to thank our parents for providing love, encouragement, and unwavering support for us. This shoutout is dedicated to the incredible work and talent that our team brings. We extend enormous amount of gratitude for collaborators Unseen creatures, the University Of Miami, and Outloud Records. If it wasn’t for the vibrant community of artists that we work with, all of our efforts would be in vain. We’re deeply thankful to the public for supporting the artists and ultimately Sensations.
