Meet Jru Isaiah | Multifaceted Artist & Love Song Specalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jru Isaiah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jru, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Learning to trust others with my craft and understanding the power behind accepting constructive criticism. This allowed me to truly flourish as an Artist and helped me recognize how talented I was when I doubted myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is deeply rooted in love songs, and I strive to create an emotional connection that captivates listeners and transports them to another dimension. What sets me apart is not only my unique voice and heartfelt lyrics but also my ability to blend singing, rapping, and dancing into a captivating performance. I believe that music is a powerful form of expression, and I aim to share that with my audience.
I’m most proud of my journey with my organization. Truly focusing on putting our best foot forward has allowed us to curate and successfully sell out four shows, substantially increase our supporters, and constantly becoming better versions of ourselves. Being a part of this amazing team and seeing people genuinely connect with my music is incredibly fulfilling. It fills me with excitement to know that our hard work and passion resonates with others.
My journey started at a young age, surrounded by music; my father was a producer, and my mother was a singer at my church. I began making real songs with my friend in college, which led me to eventually take my craft seriously. Initially, I struggled with confidence and didn’t recognize my potential, but my team has played a crucial role in helping me see that I have a gift worth sharing.
The path wasn’t always easy. I faced challenges with self-doubt and the fear of pursuing a career in music. However, by surrounding myself with supportive people I trust, I found the courage to overcome those obstacles. This taught me the importance of collaboration and how crucial it is to lean on others when you need help; learning these two important lessons led me to grow both personally and professionally.
The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to pursue my passion wholeheartedly and remain true to myself. It’s essential to chase your dreams for yourself and not merely to please others. I want the world to know that everyone is special and has a purpose. Don’t wait for the right moment; chase your dreams because you only get one chance to live the life you love.
