The principle that matters most to me is integrity. As a communicator, journalist, singer/songwriter and educator, I believe that honesty and authenticity are the foundation of trust. Whether I’m speaking on air, teaching, or interacting with others, I strive to be truthful and transparent. Integrity is essential not only for personal growth but also for making a meaningful impact on others. In over 20 years of teaching yoga and other wellness modalities, I have witnessed a huge change in what once was a small and lively community into a blossoming business that has turned yoga, an ancient tool, into an exercise modality and a way to make money. I was blessed with amazing teachers that have shown me the integrity and value behind the practice and that yoga is more of a lifestyle – that has nothing to do with click words and fashion – than just a fitness trend. Integrity over profit is what I value the most, since I have seen what the latter does to the former and in that we ended up loosing what is most important in yoga which is the work we do within and the ways in which we choose to live.
