We had the good fortune of connecting with Bayley Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bayley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been a strategic thinker. I enjoy finding solutions to problems and setting my own style to work. While studying Marketing in college I knew I wanted to have my own consulting firm , because  I saw opportunities to help business owners with the day-to-day challenges they face. I know that starting a business is not easy, it requires sacrifice, and brings many challenges. My mission was to treat my clients business with the care and value that I do for my own business. If my clients trust me with their business,  then my mission was to go above and beyond to show my appreciation.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m proud of the lasting relationships I’ve built. I’m still working with my first client, who hired me back in December of 2009. I focus on helping others, being available when needed, and solving problems. It wasn’t always easy because it’s not a smooth path to success – there’s ups and downs every year,  which means no month is predictable. I overcome these obstacles by remembering WHY I do what I do , and to learn from them, for the future…… I want to know if this was within my control,  I learn from it and avoid it in the future.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I watched my father build a business when I was in elementary school and it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. He worked very hard and it also required sacrifice. He always taught me that there were pros and cons  to owning your own business. It may not be for everyone,  but for some, it’s the right fit. My parents put in long hours, took risks, and juggled a great amount of responsibility in order to make it work. The lesson I learned: “ it’s not easy but it is very rewarding.” I admired their work ethic, understood what it took, and embraced it.
