We had the good fortune of connecting with Simona Mangiante and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simona, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks has always been a cornerstone of my life’s journey. To me, risks not taken are opportunities lost. This belief fuels my passion for constant exploration and growth. Whether transitioning from law to film documentaries or diving into the world of fashion, each step reflects my courage to reinvent myself.

I embrace calculated risks, but I also cherish the thrill of the unknown. These choices, despite fear or prejudice, offer rich experiences. They empower me, not imprison me.

Life is about constant motion and evolution. It’s about embracing new paths and daring to venture into unknown territories.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an eclectic professional, weaving creativity into every facet of my journey. My path has been diverse, filled with successes and lessons from failures. Whether I’m designing a clothing line, hosting a film documentary, or tackling a legal case, one element remains constant: creativity.
During the challenging time of the COVID lockdown, I found myself immersed in the vibrant energy of Los Angeles, sparking a creative journey that led to the birth of “Agape by Simona.” Fueled by the city’s dynamic spirit, I ventured into fashion design with my first clothing line, creating initial samples by hand due to budget limitations. These handcrafted pieces not only opened doors to New York Fashion Week but also attracted a dedicated investor and earned a coveted spot in Soho, New York, leading to features in prestigious fashion magazines, including l’officiell, Glamour etc.. Transitioning from a legal career, this entire experience felt like a cherished dream realized.
Later on I walked the runways of Miami Swim Week and came back multiple times to NYFW!

Alongside my fashion journey, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to delve into acting. Collaborating with Andy Dick on a series and leading a celebrated short film—where my portrayal of Laura became career highlights—has been a thrilling adventure. My best role is yet to come out , though being filmed already .. Aphrodite!
In 2021, I achieved a significant breakthrough in the film industry when renewed producer and director Igor Lopatonok cast me as the lead in his documentary trilogy on Ukraine, working with the legendary Oliver Stone. Recently, I also had the honor of lead the series “All the Presidents’ Men” with Sean Stone.

Throughout this wild ride, creativity has lit the way, turning chances into successes. Whether it’s strutting down a fashion runway or diving deep into a film, I embrace it all with fiery passion, painting stories that inspire and resonate across the board.

Creating myself is an ongoing journey. Life is art, and through it, I continuously mold and shape who I am. My story is a testament that magic that happens when creativity meets determination.
