We had the good fortune of connecting with Pascale Pierrot and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pascale, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business has taught me was that success is not linear . I remember being at a standstill many times during my business journey where i may have felt like giving up because i was not getting the feedback that I thought i was worth. It was always so stressful for me because I felt as though i had to choose between my business and my education and I wanted both just as bad. In realized that I am in charge of my success and that some how i needed ti be able to put all my energy into both. Instead of giving up I had to learn to give my worries and sorrows to God because this non-linear nature is what will help me stay resilient in the face of setbacks which further encourages me to persevere. Being able to juggle both at the same time has not only taught me time management skills but most importantly taught me that I can infant do whatever i set my mind to.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I make handmade Loc jewelry as well as fruit and flower themed claw clips ! What sets me apart from others would be my large range of a variety of quirky fruit and tropical flowers as well as a collection of crystal hair jewelry. Honestly, I am most proud of my kiwi claw clips… i am a bit biased because green is my favorite color lol. Professionally, I have not always believed in myself. I often doubted my craft and always felt like my art appeared “unprofessional”, it wasn’t until i realized that I am in the way of myself that I was ready to put myself out there. It was very scary and I was going into things blindly but i realized i had nothing to lose. I overcame these challenges by believing in myself and by telling myself that I can achieve anything i want to, i had to change my mindset as well as my inner monologue. Ive learned many valuable lessons about myself, ive learned that i am in charge of my destiny and success and that it is true, i can achieve whatever i work hard for. I want the brand and world to know that no matter where you came from or what your past is, you are just as important as everyone else and you deserve to share you craft with the world

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am definitely a nature girl and love to spend time outdoors. If my best friend were in the area and I wanted to show them a great time we would definitely spend some time at a trail or springs. Being in Florida i have access to many beautiful springs in the northern region of the state. I would also visit some vegan restaurants being that I am a happy vegetarian lol. I would also LOVE to visit local thrift stores as well as museums. I love to constantly learn and visit new places so i would love to end the trip with a road trip.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give my shoutout to my best friend Evelene Saget , she is a loctician in west palm beach. My best friend is not only a role model for me but an encouraging figure in my life and I do not know where I would be without her. Times where i have felt overwhelmed and swamped during my peak season, Evelyn would always calm me down and help me formulate a healthy plan to execute my orders. The times where i felt like walking away, or choosing school or my business were the times where Evelene supported me the most and helped me.
