Meet Erick Ison | OmniPreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erick Ison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erick, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
In 2022, I took the biggest risk of my life.
I left my upper management career in a small Indiana town, sold my dream cars and my beautiful home, and moved to a much bigger city. Miami. I gave up the comfort of my “successful” life to chase something deeper: fulfillment.
What I didn’t expect was to lose everything almost instantly.
No money. No job. No connections. Just hope.
A month and a half into my move, I met my best friend and now-girlfriend, someone who shared the same entrepreneurial spirit. That connection sparked a whole new journey.
In the darkest moments, I discovered my true passion: videography and media.
That passion opened up the world for me. It led me into rooms with some of the biggest names I could’ve only dreamed of. I even got my mom an autograph from her favorite reality TV star… someone I had the chance to create content for.
Because I took the leap, I didn’t just find a new path, I found my purpose.
Three years later, I now run a production company called Paid2Exist, a unique sunglasses brand, and I’m backed by a powerful network of creatives and entrepreneurs.
I thought I had climbed the mountain before… but that fall showed me there was a much greater one ahead.
And I’m still climbing.
Best risk I ever took.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is capturing real moments and turning them into powerful stories. I don’t rely on any scripts or shot lists, I just follow the energy. That’s what makes my work different. Its raw and unscripted. I actually won an award for a Music Video that I shot with no script or plan, just vibes!
I’m most proud of how my content has helped others, whether it’s boosting their confidence, getting new clients, or inspiring someone to finally show up on Social Media.
None of this came easy. I left a stable life to start over in a new city with no direction. There were hard days… no money, could barely afford food, no connections but I kept showing up every day because I believed in something bigger.
Now, I run a growing production company built around the idea that you can get paid to do what you love. I also own Ison Couture, a fashion brand where even the sunglasses tell a story.
If there’s one thing I want people to know: I didn’t follow the rules. I built this from scratch, with heart, hustle, and a vision. My story is proof that there is no Blueprint. Its just about taking the first step, and then the next step, etc. Once you start moving forward, that’s when doors will open up for you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As soon as I pick them up from the airport, they’re automatically getting into a pair of Ison Couture Sunglasses. Then they’re getting introduced to some Cuban Coffee at a latin cafe in Miami. For me, luckily, I get invited to an event every week so im taking them out to an event, introducing them to some influential people, helping them become more inspired to move here. Taking them through Coconut Grove and showing them Miami instead of just south beach. No tourist stuff. Maybe a yacht lol but that’s it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I just want to give a huge shoutout to the individuals who have supported me through my Passion and believed in my work. My parents who thought I was crazy for making this insane leap. And lastly my Brazilian GF and her family who has shown me what Life is truly about and saving me from possibly going down the wrong turn in Miami because as you know, Miami can suck you in. Huge support from her and her family.
