Meet Oriana Angulo Ferrante

We had the good fortune of connecting with Oriana Angulo Ferrante and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Oriana, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand has been genuine connection. I built Korean Babes Tee as a fan first, so I understand exactly what my audience feels, what excites them, and what they want to wear or collect.
I focus on creating products and content that feel relatable and emotional, not just trendy. That connection builds trust, and trust turns into loyal fans who keep coming back and supporting the brand.
At the same time, I prioritize quality and consistency. From print production to content, I make sure everything represents the brand well and delivers a good experience.
In my opinion, many brands fail because they focus only on selling. What made the difference for me is building a community first, and then offering products that naturally fit into that community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Korean Babes Tee started from a genuine love for K-pop, K-dramas, and Asian pop culture. In the beginning, I focused on creating inspired designs and products that fans could shop and connect with. As the brand grew, I expanded into offering official merchandise, and now we also provide printing services for fan projects, events, and collectors.
What sets us apart is that I’m not just creating for the audience, I am the audience. I understand what fans want because I’m part of that community, and that allows me to create products and content that feel authentic and meaningful, not just trendy.
The journey hasn’t been easy. Like many small businesses, I’ve had to learn and adapt constantly, staying consistent even during uncertain moments. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that building a community is more important. When people feel connected to your brand, they naturally want to support it.
Today, Korean Babes Tee is not just a gift shop, it’s a space where fans can express themselves, whether through the products they buy or the projects they create with us. What I’m most proud of is seeing people connect with what we create and make it part of their own experiences.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d focus on Asian-inspired spots and experiences. I’d take them to a Korean BBQ or a Thai restaurant, a cute café for desserts, and any local Asian markets or shops.
We’d also visit cultural festivals or night markets if they’re happening, since that’s a big part of what I enjoy and my brand.
To keep it balanced, I’d add a beach sunset at Fort Lauderdale Beach, simple but always worth it.
Overall, I’d plan a mix of good food, fun events, and places that feel connected to the culture we love.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my family, especially my mom, for always supporting my ideas, even the ones that start a little crazy, and for being there every step of the way. And my sister, who has been part of my journey from the very beginning. Their support, encouragement, and willingness to grow with me have played a big role in building everything I have today.
And of course, my community. The people who engage with my content, support my brand, and show up at events are a huge part of my motivation. They’re not just fans they’re the reason the brand exists.
