Meet Loris Perozo | Self-love Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Loris Perozo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Loris, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The relevance of self love in personal growth and transformation. People tend not to relate inner work with loving oneself, but this is actually a path you can choose to heal, grow and change your life. For me, choosing to loving me in the right way –from inside out– has been life changing, making me manifest things I never expected because of my personal history. Thanks to self love, I recovered from narcissist relationships –which can be a very dark and difficult experience– and tough me how to brake the pattern of falling back again into those.

What should our readers know about your business?
Teaching about self love was not something I planned. It actually chose me. I was going on my own personal self-love path, when I noticed that all of my new coaching clients were looking to start a self-love journey. While being on session and explaining them how to heal through self-love, I found myself “flowing”, deeply immersed into the topic. Like when Joe Gardner from Soul played the piano.
We hear about self-love everywhere, but the way it is mostly exposed is very superficial. It’s related to taking care of the body, your routine, reading books, working out, etc. The way I experience it and the way I teach self-love is more of an inner journey. Is getting into a deep, meaningful, healing relationship with you inner child and going back to the basics. That place where our minds were not contaminated with limiting beliefs or trauma, but our own magical essence. It is about self discovery, learning how to respect and choose ourself in every situation life might put us in; It is also about healing our relationships, our surroundings and co-designing the life we always wanted and deserved.
Getting to where I am right now hasn’t being easy. In fact, I was about to abandon it all –once again– few months ago. There’s so many information out there, that getting people to listen to your message can be really overwhelming and challenging. But I do recognize and celebrate myself for having two invaluable thinks on my hands: persistence and truly believing in the power of message I am bringing.
I truly want people to understand self-love the way I see it, live it and experience it – so they, too, can have one of the most powerful and transformational experiences of their lives.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love good food, museums and the beach –of course. So I think I’ll take her first for breakfast at First Watch, beach day at Key Biscayne, doing some paddle boarding in Hammock Matheson Park and then maybe going to Regatta Grove to finish the day.
The next day, I’ll keep it simple: the Paradox Museum. At night, we could grab some drinks and delicious food at Walrus Rodeo.
Another day, I’ll take her to Wynwood, Design District and finish the day at 100 Montaditos and Lagniappe.
One afternoon, we could go to Española Way and have drinks and some tapas at El Tropezón.
Miami is always about shopping, the views, the sea, the sunset and good eating. I don’t party anymore since I became a mom, so that wouldn’t be on my itinerary. Lol. But definitively we’ll need a lot of time for shopping, catching up and having some drinks and maybe some delicious fish dish after a beach day at Hollywood as well.
Super Blue is a good plan, as well as going to any live shows/concerts that might be available at the time. Also a Miami’s Inter soccer game or a Miami’s Heat game are very good ideas.
Nonetheless, for me there some non-negotiable and much simpler MUSTS like: Outdoor yoga at some park, sunset batching at the bay, eating at Flanigan’s, Pollo Tropical, Mr. 01 pizza and Chick-Fill-A.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ll like to dedicate my shoutout to my beautiful daughter, Olivia. My darling, when I learned it was going to be just the two of us, you gave me the strength I couldn’t find within myself. Because of you, I dared to break away from what hurt me and let go of patterns I kept on repeating without even knowing why. You were the reason I chose me. You make me not to desist on my dreams, even when it made no rational sense to pursue them.
For you. For me. For us.
We teach by example, and I wanted you to see in me a woman who chooses to be free and loyal to herself every single day – so you know you’ll always have that option too.
