Meet Esther Fyall | Fine artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Esther Fyall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Esther, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I felt like, for me, it was my only choice. After finishing my BA in Design, I knew that if I didn’t pursue art now, I would regret it later.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is closely connected to the Instagram page I’ve had since I was 11. Instagram gave me the artistic community I never had living in a small town in Brazil. I am convinced it is the reason I still do art today. For most of my life, art was simply an escape.
A lesson I’ve learnt is that there is never a right time to try something. Just start and you will learn along the way. If it fails, it simply becomes knowledge and experience for when you try again. A lot of times it’s easy to feel intimidated by certain projects, but that’s totally normal. The key is to just start!
I’ve gone through so many phases with art, all documented on my page. My main medium is currently oil paint, I love storytelling through painting. A lot of my art is about the most mundaine moments of day to day life which, to me, are really special. I still feel like I have so much to learn and discover and I can’t wait!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and my dad have always been my biggest supporters. My dad taught me how to draw when I was little. I’m so lucky to have them. They believe in me more than I believe in myself and I know what a privilege that is!
