We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenna Marie Streitenfeld and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenna Marie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success—and the success of Kiss This Hair & Makeup—has been leading with heart. I’ve always believed that when you build a business rooted in passion, purpose, and genuine care for people, success naturally follows. My brand has never been just about beauty; it’s about creating confidence, connection, and unforgettable experiences. Every decision, every artist, and every client interaction reflects that value. That’s what’s carried us through 15 years, multiple markets, and countless love stories.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Kiss This Hair & Makeup started as a dream that blended artistry, connection, and a deep desire to make people feel their most confident selves. What began in 2010 as me showing up with one kit and a whole lot of passion has grown into a multi-market brand serving brides and clients across Chicago, Dallas, and South & Central Florida. We specialize in luxury on-location hair and makeup artistry for weddings, productions, and private clients—offering a seamless, joyful, and elevated experience from start to finish.

What truly sets us apart is our heart. Every artist on my team leads with kindness, professionalism, and passion. We’re not just there to make you look beautiful—we’re there to make you feel seen, celebrated, and calm on one of the biggest days of your life. We’ve built a culture where everyone is valued—our artists, our clients, and every person who crosses our path. That energy shows in everything we do.

Getting here wasn’t easy. There were years of trial and error, setbacks, and learning how to balance creativity with leadership and business strategy. I’ve made mistakes, faced losses, and had to rebuild—sometimes from the ground up. But those moments taught me resilience, faith, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who believe in your vision. Every challenge shaped a stronger foundation for growth.

I’m most proud of how we’ve evolved—not just as a company, but as a family. Kiss This Hair & Makeup is built on love, inclusivity, and empowerment. We embrace all cultures, all stories, and all forms of beauty. My mission has always been to enhance what’s real—your confidence, your joy, your essence.

What I want the world to know is that Kiss This Hair & Makeup is more than a beauty brand—it’s an experience created with heart. We don’t just show up to do hair and makeup; we show up to be part of your story. And to me, that’s the most beautiful part of what we do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit Palm Beach County, we’d definitely do it right — a mix of sunshine, seafood, and good live music. I’d start by taking them biking along The Lake Trail in Palm Beach, then grab lunch at ER Bradley’s and dinner at PB Catch for the freshest seafood.

We’d spend a day at Riverbend Park in Jupiter biking or kayaking, then head to Double Roads Tavern for live local music. Another day would be for Delray Beach or Jupiter Beach — beach time, boutique stops, and maybe dinner at Prime Catch with that beautiful Intracoastal view.

To end the week, I’d plan a concert night at The Kravis Center or The Banyan Live — because there’s just nothing like great music and good company to wrap up a Florida week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to the late Dave Shelton, the owner of Medusa’s Nightclub. Back in 2008, when I was just getting started, Dave believed in me before I even fully believed in myself. He gave me a platform to do hair and makeup for local fashion shows at his venue, which opened the door to endless opportunities—including producing my very first fashion shows there. His belief in my talent helped shape the foundation of my career, and even though he passed in 2020, his influence and support will always be a part of my story.
