Hi Edward, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Leveraging a deep and globally-aware expertise in the real estate sector, my contribution to the community stands on championing socially responsible practices that extend beyond property sales. As President-Elect of the Broward-Miami Association of Realtors, I am uniquely positioned to advocate for policies and initiatives that foster sustainable and inclusive growth, such as increasing affordable housing options and revitalizing neglected areas. By building strong relationships and engaging with community leaders, I ensure that development projects align with local needs, values, and environmental concerns, thereby creating more vibrant, healthy, and resilient neighborhoods. This approach, which supports local economies by prioritizing local hiring and suppliers, generates wealth and promotes inclusion, ultimately contributing to a legacy of lasting social value on both a local and global scale.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My leadership journey is a powerful narrative of resilience, authenticity, and global perspective, forged through navigating a new life in South Florida after leaving Brooklyn as a teenager and later transitioning from a successful underwriting career to becoming a transformative real estate leader. This path, far from easy, was defined by my steadfast commitment to my guiding principles. My experience in underwriting gave me a profound understanding of the industry’s intricacies, fueling my passion for homeownership and community empowerment, a drive I now channel as President-Elect of the Broward-Miami Association of Realtors. I am most proud of my ability to forge genuine connections with people, viewing these relationships as the true essence of life and business and the foundation of my globally-minded brand. Each challenge I have overcome served not as a setback, but as a catalyst for growth, strengthening my resilience and sharpening my focus on creating lasting social value. Through my story, I want the world to know that our brand, Team Boateng, is built on a legacy of community enrichment, demonstrating how determination, integrity, and a powerful support system can transform both an industry and a community for the better.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For an unforgettable South Florida trip, we’d dive into an itinerary that blends high-octane activities with cultural immersion, moving from the sophisticated shores of South Palm Beach to the edgy arts of Midtown Miami, with a pivotal stop in Fort Lauderdale. Our week would kick off in South Palm Beach, with deep-sea fishing charters to challenge our skills against the Atlantic’s best before unwinding at a high-end beach club. From there, we’d shift gears to Fort Lauderdale, enjoying the thrill of a performance driving experience before hitting the lively Himmarshee District for a night of music and drinks at a sports bar or a more high-energy nightclub. The final leg of our trip would take us to Midtown Miami, where we’d not only explore the gritty, large-scale murals of the Wynwood Walls but also dive into the vibrant nightlife, perhaps securing a table at one of the top clubs or a more relaxed, but still energetic, speakeasy-style lounge. This route, blending offshore adventure with urban cool, creates a powerful experience that combines refined luxury with authentic, high-energy entertainment and art.

Guided by the steadfast and lifelong support of my fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi, I would like to extend a shoutout to a brotherhood that has been a lifelong pillar. This deep sense of community, reinforced by Kappa Alpha Psi’s core values of achievement, leadership, and service to underserved populations, drives my mission to empower through real estate. My dedication is further strengthened by the unwavering support of my wife, Alicia Boateng, a formidable partner in both life and business who shares my entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community enrichment.
