We had the good fortune of connecting with YESIT J. CAMPO and we’ve shared our conversation below.

What should our readers know about your business?
At BIZ CPAs, we are not just an accounting firm—we are strategic partners for business owners who want clarity, control, and long-term growth.

What truly sets us apart is our level of personalized attention and commitment to detail. Many firms focus on volume; we focus on relationships. Our clients are typically business owners generating between $500K and $10M in revenue, and they come to us not just for compliance, but for guidance—financial, operational, and strategic.

We help them understand their numbers, protect their assets, and make better decisions. That level of involvement is what differentiates us.

Am I proud of the growth of the business? Of course. But what I’m most proud of is the team we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned from our clients. That doesn’t happen overnight—it comes from consistency, discipline, and doing the right thing even when it’s not the easiest path.

And to answer your question directly—no, it was not easy.

Like many entrepreneurs, I started with long hours, wearing multiple hats, and learning through experience. There were moments of uncertainty, pressure, and even frustration. But those challenges forced me to evolve.

One of the biggest turning points was understanding that I couldn’t do everything myself. Learning to delegate, build systems, and trust a team was essential. That shift allowed the business to grow beyond just me.

Another key lesson was redefining success. Early on, I thought success was purely financial—revenue, growth, numbers. Over time, I realized that success is also about how you live while building your business. That’s when I began to prioritize balance, structure, and sustainability.

Today, what excites me the most is not just where we are, but where we’re going. We are continuously improving our processes, strengthening our team, and expanding our impact within the business community.

What I want the world to know is this:

We are a firm built on trust, consistency, and long-term relationships. We don’t just prepare taxes—we help business owners build better businesses and better lives.

And behind everything we do, there is a simple principle:
Keep moving forward, no matter what.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a close friend was visiting, I’d want them to experience Miami beyond the surface—not just the nightlife, but the lifestyle, the energy, and the diversity of the city.

Day 1 – Arrival & Brickell energy
We’d start in Brickell. It’s where business meets lifestyle. I’d take them to Komodo for dinner—great atmosphere, great food—and then a walk around Brickell City Centre to feel the city at night.

Day 2 – Culture & history
Morning at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens—one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Miami. Then lunch in Coconut Grove, something relaxed like Greenstreet Cafe. It’s a slower, more authentic side of the city.

Day 3 – Beach day, but done right
We’d go early to South Pointe Park—clean, scenic, not as chaotic as other areas. Light lunch nearby and just enjoy the ocean. Miami without the beach doesn’t make sense.

Day 4 – Design & luxury
We’d explore the Miami Design District—not just for shopping, but for architecture, art, and design.

Day 5 – Real Miami (Latin culture)
We have to go to Little Havana. Walk down Calle Ocho, grab a Cuban coffee, maybe sit and listen to live music. This is the soul of Miami.

Day 6 – Water & lifestyle
One day has to be on the water. Either a boat day around Biscayne Bay or a relaxed afternoon in Key Biscayne. That balance of work and lifestyle—that’s Miami.

Day 7 – Wrap up like a local
Brunch, something simple, and just reflect. Miami is a city you don’t fully understand in one visit—it’s about the people, the conversations, the energy.

What makes Miami special to me is that it’s a place where you can build a business, enjoy life, and stay connected to culture—all at the same time.

It’s not just where I work. It’s how I live.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I would dedicate this shoutout to my family, especially my wife. In the early years of building my career and growing the business, I was fully immersed in work—long hours, constant pressure, and an intense commitment to serving clients. She was the one who helped me realize that success without balance is incomplete.

Her support, patience, and perspective played a key role in helping me evolve—not just as a professional, but as a person.

I also want to recognize my team at BIZ CPAs. Over time, I understood that real growth comes from trust, delegation, and surrounding yourself with people who share your values. They are a fundamental part of everything we’ve built.

And finally, I give credit to the many mentors, authors, and professionals I’ve learned from throughout the years. Their ideas helped me shift my mindset—especially the understanding that success is not just about reaching a destination, but about continuously moving forward and growing.

No one builds anything meaningful alone. Every step forward has been shaped by the people who believed, supported, and challenged me along the way.
