We had the good fortune of connecting with MaVi Gangi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MaVi, how does your business help the community?
Culturizando impacts the community and the world by serving as a vital bridge for knowledge and cultural enrichment through its website, social media platforms, and printed publication, DUPAO Magazine. By democratizing education with accessible articles on history, science, and the arts, it transforms digital spaces into hubs of curiosity, countering misinformation with engaging and reliable content. Furthermore, through the tangible, deep-dive journalism of DUPAO Magazine, Culturizando preserves the power of reflective reading, ultimately fostering global empathy and connecting a diverse Spanish speaking audience under a shared appreciation for human legacy and lifelong learning.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart from others, and what are you most proud of or excited about?

What sets Culturizando apart is our ability to blend deep cultural, historical, and educational content with modern digital agility—and doing it entirely in Spanish for a global audience. We curate knowledge. We are also incredibly unique because we bridge the media gap by thriving simultaneously across a massive digital ecosystem, a free-access website (1,4 million monthly views), the podcast show De Un Punto al Otro, educational Trivia, the show Qué Ver con MaVi Gangi with interviews to Hollywood biggest stars and a high-quality free print publication like DUPAO Magazine.

What makes us proudest is that Culturizando recently celebrated its 15th anniversary. We started as a simple, passionate project on Twitter (now X), and we grew side-by-side with our audience now of around 8 million followers in all social media combined. Today, we are most excited about expanding our multimedia storytelling through exclusive interviews, podcast and video segments, continuing to show that culture can be deeply engaging, entertaining, and accessible to everyone.

Culturizando was founded 15 years ago, and I have been an integral part of its growth for the past 11 years. In my roles as Digital Strategy Advisor, Content Curator, and Miami Correspondent, I spearheaded the entertainment coverage that laid the foundation for Qué Ver con MaVi Gangi. My extensive experience encompasses red-carpet coverage as well as in-person and virtual interviews with major Hollywood and Latino stars, including notable figures such as Nicolas Cage, Alfonso Cuarón, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell, Angela Bassett, Daniel Radcliffe, Gerard Butler, Kate del Castillo, Lucy Liu, Zoe Saldaña, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, Bob Odenkirk, Morena Baccarin, Jonathan Roumie, Kevin James, John Leguizamo, Matt Damon, Jesse Eisenberg, Ke Huy Quan, Sydney Sweeney, and Amanda Seyfried. (These are just some of them)

This year, in 2026, we were deeply honored to receive an official proclamation from Miami city authorities in recognition of our dedicated service to the community. This prestigious milestone celebrates our ongoing commitment to enriching lives, promoting education, and bridging cultures through the content we publish across all our media platforms.

We are also proud of our podcast show. Hosted by dynamic husband-and-wife duo MaVi and Daniel Gangi, the podcast “De un punto al otro” (From One Point to Another) serves as an engaging audio bridge where insightful conversation meets cultural curiosity. The podcast invites listeners into a thought-provoking yet conversational space, proving that exploring the world’s most interesting ideas is always better when shared.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?

We got to where we are today through a perfect synergy of passion and distinct professional strengths. As a husband-and-wife team, we built this from the ground up over the last decade and a half. Daniel handles the technological infrastructure, backend innovation, and business strategy, while MaVi leads the editorial vision, content curation, and serves as the primary on-camera talent and interviewer.

It was definitely not easy. Evolution in the digital space is relentless. Moving from a single Twitter account to a multi-platform media company—especially introducing a printed magazine in a digital age—presented massive financial, logistical, and algorithmic challenges. We overcame these hurdles through sheer adaptability and absolute trust in each other. When digital landscapes shifted, Daniel adapted the tech and platform strategy. When the market demanded deeper engagement, MaVi elevated our editorial voice and built strong media relationships. We treated every obstacle as a data point to pivot, rather than a reason to stop.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?

– Consistency over fleeting trends: Viral moments come and go, but a trusted brand is built through 15 years of daily, high-quality consistency.
– Complementary teamwork is everything: You don’t need to do everything yourself. Our success comes from knowing our lanes—Daniel anchoring the business and tech, MaVi driving the content and presence—and respecting each other’s expertise as partners in both life and business.
– Our audience is our highest responsibility: Growing a loyal community from social media roots has taught us that their trust is sacred. They rely on us to educate, entertain, and inform them cleanly and accurately, which elevates our editorial responsibility every single day.
– After years of successfully engaging millions of followers with Culturizando, we realized our deep knowledge of digital strategy could directly benefit other brands. This inspired us to launch Culturizando Studio. Through this agency, we channel our marketing expertise into helping local businesses elevate their visibility, refine their operations, and achieve sustainable growth.
– You have to really love what you do to achieve excellence. If you love what you do, the late nights and early mornings spent working on your venture will be worth it and won’t feel like a burden at all; on the contrary, they will make you happy.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

We want the world to know that Culturizando is proof that educational and cultural content can be a powerful, sustainable, and highly engaging media platform. Our story began 15 years ago on social media with a simple desire to share knowledge, and it has evolved into a global brand run by a dedicated husband-and-wife team. We want people to know that behind every post, interview, and printed page of DUPAO Magazine, there is a profound commitment with the community. They trust us to enrich their minds, and we honor that trust by bridging cultures, sparking lifelong learning, and making the world a bit more thoughtful, one story at a time, and in an entertaining way. Because we believe that we tend to better remember what we learn in a fun or creative way.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
An educational (Culturizando Style) tour of Miami must begin on its iconic waters; starting with a sunny beach day or a scenic boat ride highlights the coastal ecosystem that truly gives the city life and makes it unique. Moving inland, the journey goes into rich history by exploring the stunning Renaissance-style estate of Villa Vizcaya, the hand-carved mystery of the Coral Casttle—which is entirely unique in the world—and the old Spanish Monastery, known as the oldest European structure in the Western Hemisphere. To understand local heritage, a stop at the Museum of Miami (HistoryMiami), Wynwood and the symbolic Torre de la Libertad is essential, followed by a walk through downtown to view an authentic Section of the Berlin Wall preserved at Miami Dade College. Since the city is buzzing with the energy of the World Cup, stopping by the vibrant FIFA Fan Festival adds a perfect modern cultural touch. Finally, a stroll down Miami Beach to admire the world-famous architecture of the Art Deco District and Ocean Drive rounds out the experience, which can be beautifully capped off by immersing they in the rich sights, rhythms, and authentic tastes of the famous Calle 8 in Little Havana—a cultural phenomenon found nowhere else.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As the co-founder and tech-forward force behind Culturizando, Daniel Gangi serves as the structural and strategic backbone of the platform, seamlessly managing its technological evolution and digital growth. Together with me, his wife, (MaVi Gangi), we have built a powerful, symbiotic partnership that masterfully blends our professional strengths with our deep personal bond. While I serve as the creative editorial voice and on-air talent, Daniel acts as the essential CEO of the company and the geek of the family, driving the innovation, infrastructure, and backend strategies that allow our shared vision to thrive across our web, print, and podcast ecosystems. By balancing our roles as dedicated business partners and supportive spouses and parents, we have created a powerhouse dynamic where love and professional collaboration fuel an inspiring global community thanks to the pursue of our passion for the values of Culturizando.
