Meet Keith And Stania Collins | We Don’t Build Businesses. We Build Business Owners.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith And Stania Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keith and Stania, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting Rise Above Solutions came from our own experiences as business owners, leaders, and people who have seen both the excitement and the challenges of building something meaningful. We know what it’s like to wear every hat, put out fires all day, and feel like the business depends on you for everything.
We realized that many small business owners don’t fail because they lack passion or talent—they struggle because they don’t have the systems, leadership, or support needed to grow with confidence. That’s where we felt called to help.
Our goal has never been to simply give advice. We wanted to become a trusted partner who helps business owners organize what already works, strengthen their teams, and build simple systems that create more freedom, profitability, and peace of mind.
At Rise Above, we believe every business has the potential to make a positive impact on its employees, customers, and community. When we help a business owner succeed, we know we’re also helping families, creating jobs, and strengthening the communities they serve. That’s what motivates us every day.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets us apart is that we don’t just teach business—we’ve lived it. We’ve experienced the pressure of leading teams, launching businesses, managing projects, raising a family, serving in ministry, and helping organizations grow through both successes and setbacks. Because of that, we understand that behind every business is a person carrying the weight of making payroll, leading people, serving customers, and providing for their family.
Our journey wasn’t built overnight, and it certainly wasn’t easy. Over the past 25 years, we’ve worn many hats—as trainers, business consultants, project managers, tax professionals, real estate professionals, nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs. Along the way, we’ve helped launch new businesses, relocate and open franchise locations, develop leadership teams, create training systems, and improve operations for organizations across multiple industries. Every opportunity taught us something new and reinforced one simple truth: businesses grow when people grow.
Like many entrepreneurs, we’ve faced uncertainty, disappointments, and moments where we had to pivot. Instead of allowing those challenges to define us, we chose to learn from them. We asked better questions, invested in personal growth, surrounded ourselves with mentors, leaned on our faith, and continued refining systems that made businesses stronger and owners more confident. Those experiences became the foundation of Rise Above Solutions.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that most businesses don’t struggle because of a lack of effort—they struggle because they lack structure. Owners often become the bottleneck because no one has shown them how to build systems, develop leaders, and create accountability that allows the business to thrive without depending on them for everything.
That’s why we started Rise Above Solutions. Our mission is to help business owners move from constantly putting out fires to building businesses with clarity, confidence, and purpose. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all consulting. We partner with our clients, meet them where they are, and help them document what works, fix what doesn’t, and build simple systems that create lasting results.
More than anything, we want people to know that our brand is about people before process. We believe every business has the potential to change lives—not just through profits, but through the jobs it creates, the families it supports, and the communities it serves. If we can help one business owner find more clarity, lead with greater confidence, and build a lasting legacy, then we’ve fulfilled the purpose behind why Rise Above exists.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As someone who loves discovering hidden gems and supporting local businesses, I’d want my friend to experience the best of South Florida through great food, nature, culture, and community—not just the typical tourist spots.
We’d start the week with breakfast at a local café before exploring Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, renting bikes, and watching the sunrise over the ocean. Later we’d head to Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale to browse the local shops, enjoy the art scene, and have dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants.
Another day would be dedicated to Everglades National Park for an airboat ride and wildlife tour, followed by a relaxing evening in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We’d also spend time in Wynwood Walls in Miami to experience the incredible street art, local coffee shops, and creative atmosphere.
Because we’re food lovers, we’d make it a mission to visit some of our favorite locally owned restaurants throughout Broward and Miami-Dade, trying everything from authentic Caribbean and Latin cuisine to fresh seafood and hidden neighborhood favorites. Supporting small businesses is something we’re passionate about, so we love introducing people to places they probably wouldn’t find on their own.
Toward the end of the trip, we’d visit one of South Florida’s beautiful parks or nature preserves, catch a sunset on the beach, and spend time simply talking, laughing, and enjoying the community that has become home to us. For us, the best experiences aren’t just about the places you visit—they’re about the people you meet and the memories you create along the way. South Florida is full of both, and that’s what we’d want every visitor to experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I had to dedicate this journey to anyone, it would first be to God, whose faithfulness has carried us through every season. Habakkuk 3:19 says, “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.” That verse reminds us that even when the path is steep or uncertain, God gives us the strength and stability to keep moving forward.
Beyond that, we’re incredibly grateful for our family, mentors, clients, and the many business owners who trusted us along the way. Every challenge, every lesson, and every relationship has shaped who we are today. We believe success is never a solo journey, and we’re honored to now walk alongside other business owners as they build businesses that create lasting impact for their families and communities.
