We had the good fortune of connecting with Chinmaya Chaitanya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chinmaya, what role has risk played in your life or career?
If you want to do something big in ur life, change the way you live currently, wanna improve your life, you will have to take risks in your life. When i was a teenager I preferred stability in my life thats why I was afraid to take life changing decisions, I was insecure, had low self esteem and thats the reason why I was not succeeding anywhere ,whether it was my academics or my creative fields. I took part in various art, painting contests with enthusiasm but never managed to win or even get any honourable mentions. There was a point in my life when I had nothing to lose and I just let go the fear of the future and took big risks and made some life changing decisions. I moved to another city far away from my parents, passionately started working in the creative fields without worrying about the outcomes. It was tough in the beginning but I started to get recognized as an artist and as a designer, my work started publishing in newspaper, my sales increased and everything started working out for me. Its been 2 years since I moved out , now I am studying visual arts at a very prestigious university in Europe and I am so ready to see where my decisions take me in the future.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Yes I have to say that I am a very busy person because I am always doing something. Mostly I am busy with my personal works and some commission works .But these days I am little more busier than usual, due to university projects.Other than that I m always photographing and coming up with ideas for my surroundings, and people inspire me the most and I love to stay connected to the roots while still discovering the limits of the sky. I started my journey by doing portraits, switched to illustrations and now I am studying graphic design at a big university in Europe. My experiences has helped me to grow a lot in my life. Life is short and we should live it to its fullest, I believe we should follow our dreams and do what we love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My city is blessed with flora and fauna and has lots of beautiful rivers, waterfalls, lakes and mountains. If you visit my city, we will definitely go to see the waterfalls, some beautiful temples and have the famous mushrooms that only grows in my city. We can visit the rural areas and learn and see some sohrai art and clay pot making.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family, teachers and my friends are the ones who encouraged me to follow my dreams. A big shout out to these loving people
