Meet Nacho Londoño: Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nacho Londoño and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nacho, what are you inspired by?

I’m inspired by the beauty of being alive. My own struggles when in love, when I had my heart broken… When I see a stranger walk by, sometimes I can feel the weight of their soul, the weight of their life. I want to be honest in everything I do so I can connect deeply with my audience.

I have learned to never compare my work and my path with anyone else’s – we all have our own unique stories to tell. I want every kid that doesn’t have the support of their parents to know that no matter the circumstances they are powerful, they are not alone, and we can make a change.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

My music is my art and it’s a reflection of the life I have lived. For me it’s not a competition or a race, my music is my greatest freedom. I never worry what’s on the radio or what people are consuming at the moment.

Since a very young age I had to live in many places without the support of my parents. It was very difficult sometimes to try to make the right decisions so I always trusted my instincts. I let my music create my path forward, my music was my only companion for many years. Since a young age it’s been a lot of hard work, touring non-stop and collaborating with other musicians. I’m always pushing and challenging myself to write, sing and perform at my best level.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

First I will take them to my motorcycle shop called Motor Oil Garage in Little River. Of course I would take them for a motorcycle ride around town.

In the mornings I go to OTL coffee shop in the Design District, for lunch we would go to Lemoni Café and maybe a walk around Wynwood. At night we would have dinner at Itamae – it’s the best sushi spot in Miami and I love sushi. We would go to Mr. Wright’s Gold Digger Saloon on Biscayne Boulevard for a drink, it’s a beautiful bar, and we’d finish the night at Bar Nancy in Little Havana.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my present success to my grandmother Aurora, my sister Maria Jose and my mother Ayde. I also want to thank my friends Basilio, Jessica Valladares, Paolo Ángulo, Gary Candullo and Rodrigo Rey de el Castillo.
