Meet Sunday Ordoñez: Founder of Swell Social Creative Agency

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sunday Ordoñez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sunday, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always felt drawn towards my creative instincts. Growing up and always having a camera in hand, I knew that pursuing a creative career was the path for me. When I dived into the marketing world a few years ago, I discovered that my love for visual aesthetics could be paired with my other passion for helping brands tell their story in creative ways. Together these two interests have led me to learn so much about marketing, branding, and connecting your story with your audience digitally.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Coming from the agency world, I’ve faced the challenges of working in a fast paced corporate environment. My approach in starting my own marketing practice is to always create work that is authentic, while connecting with my clients in meaningful ways. Life’s too short to cut corners and forget about the faces behind everything we do. My desire is to always lead with that concept in everything we do at Swell Social.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love living in South Florida! I love the laid back beachy vibe of living here, with no shortage of fun things to do on the weekends. I love visiting Wells Coffee on the weekends, located in the Flagler Arts Village of Fort Lauderdale. Their iced lattes are my favorite! If you have a few hours to spare, I’d definitely also recommend checking out Lake Worth Beach, which is about an hour drive north. The beach there is pristine and not as crowded as some of the other beaches further south. After spending the day at the beach, definitely check out Mathew’s Brewery for yummy bites, live music, and amazing locally brewed beer on tap. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am constantly inspired by my life and business partner Jose. Together we founded Wish Creative, an independent film and photography company in South Florida. After realizing our clients’ needs for creative marketing strategies, I founded Swell Social, a social media agency dedicated to helping clients tell their story and reach new audiences digitally.
