Meet Loni Elizabeth | Communicator, Connector & Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Loni Elizabeth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Loni, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose to pursue a creative career because of the unrivaled power in evoking expression. One work or piece of design can speak volumes more than a speech or saying can because it’s not limited by words, but emoted by movement, melody or color. I also chose the creative field because I had a hard time expressing myself otherwise. The standard job made me feel limited and compressed, and then eventually DEpressed. Thus I found refuge in establishing my own project where I empower others to craft their interpretation of the bigger picture of my organization’s mission & vision.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My parents held occupations that kept me in the spotlight and under a microscope simultaneously. A part of me was paranoid, and the other part loved the attention. As I matured I craved privacy, and in my search for it I discovered that I felt only one thing: Purposeless. So I sought to remedy this, and lost my self In volunteer work and community service until I found my way again. And what I found was that I was unique, with a unique story and a unique sense of style. That discovery led me to come out of hiding and embrace the vocation of my parents and even assist them with my own flair. That is how I came to this point. I was created to do what does not yet exist and the rest is still unfolding.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I adore this question! I’ve recently been learning to fall in love with my city after a horrible staycation experience with friends from out of town and here are a few fabulous hot spots: – Naples Pier – Wall Crawl Orlando – Wynwood Walls Miami

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentor and motivator Yvonia Payne-Gonzales, CEO of Savvy Sexy Sheek Fashion & Chairwoman of Grateful Hearts United NPO. She took me under her wing during a very ‘dazed and confused’ point in my career and taught me the ways of a wisened entrepreneur. I would not have the confidence to do this interview otherwise.
