Meet Pritha Muneswar | Salon Owner – Hairstylist – Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Pritha Muneswar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pritha, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
When I was graduating high school and beginning college, I wasn’t sure what the future held but I definitely didn’t think I would be a hairstylist – much less a business owner. One day my father told me, “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”. I always loved hair and makeup so I took his advice and a leap of faith deciding to enroll in beauty school. What started as a love of hair and makeup quickly grew into so much more. Years of hard work has brought many amazing experiences, from working the 24hr Cotton Show (which was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records) to the first ever Dior show in Miami. I was also able to show off my skills at NYFW 2020 last February. While I love the rush of backstage, there’s no better feeling then making someone look and feel their best. I love making people feel good about themselves. I can’t explain it but it makes me happy to see clients happiness through my craft. And besides, who doesn’t feel good after a visit with their hairstylist?!?! So, while I may have started this adventure based on my love of beauty, being creative and my fathers wisdom, my love for helping people look good and feel good is definitely where it’s at for me!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Although keeping a successful shop running is always difficult, The Mane Group’s success starts with a group of young artists who share a vision of being leaders in their craft and deliver that through ongoing education on technique in upcoming trends, color, cutting, and improving hair health. We’re also excited to be one of the few salons in Coral Gables that are recycling 95% of our waste. We’re also excited to be carrying a full line of vegan products from R+Co!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would definitely be grabbing some beers and heading to the beach!
