Hi Alyzza, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that Alyzza Speaks has taught me is to believe in myself. I was very skeptical before creating it, however, after seeing how many people relate to and support my vision I have learned that I was my biggest obstacle. I can now proudly say that I genuinely believe in myself and my craft.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I did not begin Alyzza Speaks for myself, but for others. I originally began writing as a means to vent and would show these words to others only when my mouth failed to explain my many emotions. This lead to the realization that I was not alone, others could relate to what I felt. Going public with these thoughts and emotions via Alyzza Speaks was not easy, however, it was worth it. I am proud to say that I am an open book and that I speak up for those who, too, struggle with expressing their emotions verbally. One thing I want the world to know about Alyzza Speaks is that I am here. I am here for you and for the next person. Read my words, relate to my experiences, realize that you are not alone. Emotions are meant to be felt, not ignored.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would take them downtown! There are so many things to enjoy in the city. We could eat at various ethnic restaurants, listen to live music, view the street art, visit a museum, bask in the sun, and just laugh! Some of the most exciting people can be found in this scene, everyone is there to simply have a good time. Being around good people and good food is essential to a great vacation!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank each and every person that I have encountered in life for contributing to my success. No matter whether our encounter was negative or positive, it has inspired me to do more for myself. I am grateful for every experience.
