We had the good fortune of connecting with Teffi Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teffi, what do you attribute your success to?
God has always been behind my success, and my family. My father has been a fundamental piece in the development of my career. He has always instilled in me not to give up, not to be influenced by those people who always believe they are right. In the entertainment industry it is important to have your own judgment and know how to manage both public and personal relations. Life has taught me that we will never be alone in our successes, there are always people behind that with their support, no matter how small, they give you the impulse you need to keep going. DO NOT GIVE UP AND TRUST YOU!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my company last year, and at first it is difficult because you have to invest money to start working. I had a hard time saving an entire year to open my audiovisual production company and although many told me that I could not live that way, that I would need a regular job, I told them that for that I had studied 5 years of career and had done a master’s degree. Building a business from nothing is not easy, however I understood that the relationships we make are the ones that will serve us in the future. As an audiovisual producer I have ideas in my head all day and live seeing future clients who need support in the area of marketing or advertising. I currently have 2 TV programs on air where I am the producer and I take care of everything from script writing to product editing. Little by little I have been buying the equipment I need and have made alliances with other companies where we all win. The important thing is to keep walking, many times we fall, they cheat us, they tell us one thing and another … But that’s what life is about: learning to discern well with whom to work and who to trust. I thank God every day for placing wonderful people on my path who have taught me and supported me in the best way. We are here to learn and not give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is a wonderful city and everyone believes that the beaches are the only thing that has appeal. I would take my best friend to see Coral Gables and its castle, also the natural pool that is located there called Venetian Pool. The city of homestead is beautiful to know and collect the vegetables and fruits of the crops. There is also a beautiful park called Homestead Bayfront Park. Wyndwood is very beautiful at night, especially for walking and having a coffee or ice cream. The art on the walls is unique and makes that part of the city magical. For fun there is the Rapids Water park that is incredible for both children and adults. And there is a Beach where they accept puppies that is BEAUTIFUL in Miami Beach called Haulover Beach. I would also take her for a walk around Kendall, where there is a Mall called the Palms where there is a Bridge and people put locks simulating the one found in France. Calle 8 is amazing and you can see a little bit the Cuban Culture everywhere!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father, to always be there at the right time. My husband for understanding every night that I don’t get home early. Full Sail University, the place where I graduated with honors and who has always given me all her support when I have needed it most. To the Alpha Entertainment Services team (Priscilla and Linda) for always taking me into account for any job and being there with a smile.
