We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Marino and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was following my heart and my dreams. I became tired of giving my all to companies that didn’t appreciate or value all that I have to offer. I wanted to create my business, from my heart. My partner Blake Cohen and I saw a need to be filled in our industry. We loved learning from mentors and in our education, we wanted to add some creativity to it. We work with addiction and families who are in a tough spot. We want to see more people live happy, sober and fulfilled lives.

What should our readers know about your business?
We started our business to launch on March 1, 2020, the beginning of Covid. We had to quickly adapt our new business to what the world was dealing with. We had to find creative ways to help families during this difficult time, while being safe in our practices. We believe it takes a village and believe in collaborating with other professionals.
In our industry we are “the next generation”.
We continue to be mentored and expand our education while adding our own creativity and passion into what we do. We take it to “the next level.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Point Park in South Beach first, we would walk around and go to the beach. We would eat at Joe’s Stone Crab, shop on Collins Ave, stay at the National, swim in the pool, and relax.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Blake Cohen, for having the same vision, passion and heart when it comes to the work that we do. Blake has been the most supportive, brilliant and dedicated business partner. I could not do it without him!
