We had the good fortune of connecting with Dillan Foss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dillan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Problems are the symptom of individuals not having solutions to a specific scenario or situation. Businesses only survive by way of providing a solution to a problem that many people experience. The most common problems that humans experience are a result of not having the education to resolve or understand any issue within our own bodies, whether it be chemical, emotional or physical. My desire to help people understand their own body is my main goal. The Limitless Theory mission statement explains it best. “Limitless Theory’s mission is to provide individuals with a like-minded community that thrives on economic, nutritional, and fitness freedom. The goal is to educate, collaborate, and learn how to master the mind and body we call our own. Personal education and individualized approaches ensures everybody and anybody is properly equipped to create their limitless journey with a customizable and flexible 3-part lifestyle.”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a firm believer that what sets me apart from everyone else is that no one can be me and I can be no one else. This comes down to my previous answer, the present is a result of the past. No one else has experienced life like I have and the same goes for every individual who was ever been born or ever will be. My obstacles, my triumphs, the lessons, the emotions, the ideas and the actions are all exclusive to me. Helping individuals realize the significance of their life experiences, how they effect the present and how they can alter the future with them is so liberating and powerful to me. My goal is not to give people around me a solution so that they keep coming back but to rather give them the formula needed to find a solution for any scenario. The tools needed to understand human anatomy, chemistry, physiology and biology are much more simple than people and textbooks make them out to be. When you realize life is to be experienced it makes you curious how much can one experience and endure. Experience leads to learning because every time we explore our human capabilities, whether they be emotional, physical, chemical, spiritual, etc… we set a precedent for ourselves or someone else to take it one step further the next time. That is what Limitless Theory is all about, learning that every action sets a new standard and over any length of time change will occur because it is the only constant and change can happen infinitely in any direction. When I instruct someone to breath, stretch, exercise, eat a certain food or resist a certain beverage, it is their action that sets in motion chain reaction of events that create experiences and lessons learned which leads to a future of limitless possibilities. Understanding this will help anyone overcome any obstacle and learn anything but its also what makes me equally excited about sharing my story as hearing others share theirs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a fitness and nutrition specialist, I am a firm believer that sharing experiences around nature, food and beverages are super crucial. I would undoubtedly bring them to the beach, the everglades, the local outdoor basketball courts and my favorite restaurants in the area. I am a sucker for good cultural food, good social vibes and a good view. Alongside that I would try to introduce them to as many of my close friends locally because connecting like minded people and allowing them to share stories and experiences is so satisfying to me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many people and things came to mind so I will try to keep this as brief as possible. The present is a result of the past and there is no greater past relevant to me than my ancestors. Therefore, my first shoutout goes out to my amazing family, my parents and my 5 siblings who are far from perfect but have never stopped sacrificing for me and supporting me in all my endeavors. Secondly, I would love to thank sports, basketball in particular, not just for making me active and physically aware of my own body, but for also connecting me to 100’s of amazing and diverse individuals. From coaches and teammates to lifelong friends, whom I have learned many amazing values and who were there for me in the toughest of times. My childhood friend group and two best friends. My business partners who at 18 changed my outlook on the possibilities of life by encouraging me to think about my future beyond the box that I grew up in. Lastly, I will end with the first self-help book that I ever read (because of my business partners) written by the author Charles Duhigg, “The Power of Habit.”
