Meet Vanessa Fuller | Owner/Executive Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa Fuller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
With my formal training in the special event and entertainment business I thought  “Why not turn my passion into a career?!!”  Once I committed it was an easy transition for me to be in the hospitality, special event, and entertainment business. It truly brings me great joy to serve my clients!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an executive event planner with over 15 years of experience and knowledge in the events industry!

My ultimate goal is to cater to and meet me clients needs at the highest level. Connecting and creating a relationship with my clients is vital to my success because my client know’s that they can trust, rely, and depend on my team’s services. I believe what sets me and my team apart is our core value of serving people and what that all entails. They are so many hats you wear as an event planner that I’m always thinking outside of the box based on my clients needs!

One of many things I’m extremely proud of is my formal training as a professional dancer!Well this is one way I’m able to connect with my clients. This is an additional service that I can add to my client’s experience with my company. As a professional dancer for many years I’m able to take my skills and apply it to event planning by assisting my clients in their one in a lifetime moments such as “Wedding First Dances” “Bridal Party Routines”, “Quinces Court,” “Sweet 16s”, “Bar/Bat Mitzvah” routines, just to name a few.

Dance is one of the main factors on how I was introduced to the event industry at the age of 15. I started as a party motivator dancing for a few prestige entertainment companies in South Florida and was requested to traveling across states to be apart of clients special occasions. This is where my love of events evolved. I loved the details of each occasion, the theme, vendors and of course the main attraction the family! No matter the occasion it’s always a family affair to me! I am blessed to be able to say that I was trained with some of the top influencer companies in this industry, with the professional event planners, DJs, MCs from NYC, LA, and Chicago. I really fell in love with the hospitality, events, and tourism industry and saw it as my future.

I would say as a business owner I have experienced the ups and downs of in the hospitality industry. For me is the challenge of being a stay at home mom with 3 energetic boys and homeschooling! However the support of an amazing husband who understands my passion for hospitality, I’m able to continue to do what I love! The lessons that I have learned is to persevere through the tough times even though it doesn’t seem possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

One of my dedication goes to the real MVPs and that’s my amazing hubby AL and our 3 beautiful but rambunctious boys! The amount of support, belief, encouragement and compliments (wink wink) I get is beyond amazing and truly what keeps me going to keep pursuing a fast paced, constantly revolving industry.

I truly wouldn’t be able to do what I am doing without the mentorship, and support of other highly successful business owners, and prestige company leaders seeing and believing in my potential and constantly pushing me to go beyond the boundaries.

We also couldn’t do it without our strong community of friends, and family! They provide mentorship, guidance, support, prayer and constant love for what we do! I’m grateful to God for the many blessings I have been given and every moment I get to do what I do!
