We had the good fortune of connecting with Diana Santana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diana, what’s been your favorite thing to do during quarantine?
It is hard to understand that outside there is a monster that wants to eat you. If you think about it the movies gave us heads ups of this future that is now our present. My favorite thing to do during this quarantine is that I manage 100% of my time, which is something MAGNIFICENT. Also, I love watching tutorials, and I am learning like crazy, it is very interesting and the “learning experience” fulfill my brain.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To become a photographer, digital artist was not easy, I am learning everyday so many things. But since I didn’t have the support of my family to study what I really wanted it is very hard these days to be “in voga”. “Everything can be an excuse” I know, but with resources you have more chance to get where you want to be faster. “Yo aprendi en la calle”, “I learn on the streets” That is my answer when anybody asked me “Where did you learn this?” or “Where did you study?” I was afraid and I am doing it anyway. There is no other change that keep walking, learning, screaming, fighting and all the “ings” that you want. That is exactly the challenge. That “eterna lucha” “forever fight”, is never going to end, luckily for us. We will need to remember when we look at those scars on our body’s and smile.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live at Miami. So I will take her to the beach, with cold beers, beach tennis rackets, food and more friends. At night, we will go to walk around Wynwood. Go to WB for beers. After that we will go to “Las Rosas” my favorite bar in Miami, and if she is my best friend for sure we will enjoy this bar. We will go to the Bayfront Park and enjoy the view with a cold beverage in our hands.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
100% my family. It is funny because we didn’t have an amazing relationship before today. There weren’t for my and I wasn’t for them. You always need wake-ups calls, and well, our turn in life didn’t take long. I am not talking about COVD-19, there was a huge change of life before this situation. After that life-changing-situation we support each other blindly, is a very nice feeling to feel in life. And, David.
