We had the good fortune of connecting with Alberto Pita and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alberto, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I believe that food brings people together and fosters a happy environment. I cook for the homeless and non profit organizations at no cost to them. I want to give back and pay it forward
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My love for food started at an early age and my dad used to cook also for a living he specialized in paellas. Unfortunately when I started actively cooking he got very ill and was hospitalized in a coma and I was unable to even ask him for his recipe. So my first event, I had to guess the rice and food measurements but it was a success. Im most excited that I get feed people and make them smile through my cooking. What The secret ingredient is love. What I want the world to know is that sometimes the best meals are not really about the food but who you share it with.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Bombay Darbar for some great Indian food. Head to casa tua for the cacio y Pepe and visit the fair child gardens
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I read a book once called the “go giver” and it really changed my approach to life. You cannot ask a fireplace for warmth without adding a log to it. You need to GIVE ❤️
