Hi Avalon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Being of a true entrepreneurial spirit i dont consider risks a risk. I consider it Labor pains. As in the words of Tom Hanks from Forrest Gump Labor is like a box of chocolate., you never know what you are going to get and this is what excites me. You dont know the result of your hard labor but you can determine the outcome based on how smart you work and how much you believe in what you do and having a crystal clear plan as to how you are going to achieve your goals. The word risk scares away alot of people and this is what separates extraordinary from the mediocre. It’s either you look at the glass half empty and say its too risky or you look at the glass half full and say the more riskier it is the more rewarding. This is the attitude that brought me where i am today. Always positive, always enduring and always embracing the labor pains as a sweet reward.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m in the business of helping investors and consumers to obtain the capital they need to purchase Real Estate. What sets me apart from the others is the network, partnerships and relationships that I have managed to build over the years. Being involved in such a competitive industry I pride myself that I’m able to find a mortgage solution for 99% of my borrowers whether they are trying to invest or occupy I am able to get them in a mortgage program rightsized to suit their needs. I focus on the ease of the transaction and the assurance that my qualified borrowers will be funded so they can just concentrate on finding the perfect property.

It definitely wasn’t easy to get where I’m at today. It took a lot of networking, studying, sleepless nights, mentoring and training, a lot of shaking hands and kissing babies. I always say that it will be hard to duplicate what I did. There were a lot of obstacles in the way but I overcame this by keeping my vision clear and also looking at a lot of success stories in the business and visualizing that I am or I will be that person one day. I always say to myself if anybody can do it I can do it better!

I have learned over and over again that nothing that is worth having will comes easy and you will never know how close you are to succeeding if you stop trying. I want the world to know that i am living proof that with hard work and dedication you can really accomplish anything you want in this world and there are still great people out there to help you along the way. You just got to find them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has alot of hidden gems when it comes to places to go. Two of my favorites are the rooftop at the 1 Hotel and Astra in Wynwood. Great Food, Great Drinks, Great scenery, great music, great people and an overall super fantastic vibe. If in Ft Lauderdale my favorite is Salt 7. It sits right on the water and its a great spot to network, have a neat drink and tantalizing dinner menu.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to my 2 year old daughter . She’s the reason why i made the transition in 2019 when she was born. This was the biggest leap of faith i ever took in my life to start my own finance company. However the drive that she gave me made me defy the odds. Also, I will like thank my private lender coach for the mentorship that he gave me and still giving to me up until this day. He always believed in me and thought me everything that i needed to know to be successful in the mortgage lending business.
