We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Regnault and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sara, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Get uncomfortable and ask for what you want”. Seems pretty simple and straightforward but these two actions have unimaginable power. Getting uncomfortable means getting out of your comfort zone and asking for what you want means you have to get out of your head, stop being shy and embarrassed and ask for what you want… the worst that can happen is a simple “no” but losing a battle does not mean you lose the war. Personally, I have been told and have read and I have seen people do this but I always had an excuse for why my situation was different, why I couldn’t do it until one day it clicked and it all started making sense. I believe my God wants me to succeed and he has opened countless doors for me. All I have to do is go through them by getting out of my comfort zone and asking for what I want.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Quality, patience and love. This is what sets me apart. Baking is an art and an exact science and while it is fun, it is also challenging, especially when developing your own recipes so patience and perseverance is crucial. I like to make my products in small batches because every batch is special and made fresh. Flavor and quality change when it’s made in huge quantities so I like to make sure every single item is the best that it can be. I believe there is a lack of tasty vegan options in the majority of establishments in town so my goal is to provide the vegan and non-vegan community with great, tasty foods that are fresh and healthier than the standard options. I have had a career dealing with Food & Beverage and vendors and I am aware of the hassle that it can be, so another thing that sets me apart is my commitment to my clients and the willingness to go the extra mile to satisfy them. Clients become friends and I like my friends to be happy and well taken care of.
Bottom line, this company is my child and I like to go above and beyond to see it succeed and the only way to do that is with my God by my side and doing the best I can to make and keep people happy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami is full of hidden gems and some not so hidden. Being vegan myself I would definitely take my friend to try all the amazing vegan spots in town for great diners and amazing desserts. Next, I would take a helicopter ride so my friend could see our beautiful city from up above. Miami has one of the best views and skylines and flying would be a great way to showcase it. I would definitely make time to visit the different beaches which are full of life, music and hundreds of bars perfect for barhopping. Lastly, Miami is known for its nightlife but I particularly love the latin vibe that can be felt all throughout the city. Spending the night dancing salsa or listening to Gente de Zona while sipping on a cocktail.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not do what I do without the support of my husband. The most amazing person I have ever known. He has been my rock and my support when I’ve needed it. He is my drawing board when I need to brainstorm and a shoulder to cry on when frustration hits. We have been together since we were very young and we have been through thick and thin and through it all, we have come out on top. We have a beautiful daughter who is my pride and joy, the reason I push through and move forward every day.
