We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Salazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luis, how do you think about risk?
The good old saying with great risk comes great rewards, I try to take calculated risk whenever possible. If it means in my production/songwriting/ personal life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Excited to share that through hard work and sacrifice I get to wake up everyday doing what I love. My parents goal when they brought us to this country was for us to be able to have a better life and I was able to make their sacrifice did not go in-vein. The road has been bumpy to say the least but staying focused and controlling what I could control was key. Being a creator I believe we are more sensitive and those moments that things emotionally hit were the hardest to overcome. My story is centered around hard work and knowing that I never stop learning.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is full of incredible food, entertainment and sites to see. Monday – Breakfast @ El Atlkat – Salvadorian place that has incredible Central American food.
Shopping @Sawgrass and then lunch in the area – Grab some drinks @Flannigans and dinner
Tue- Breakfast around young circle in Hollywood and then spend a day in Hollywood beach were we will check out the board walk and hang out and grab lunch. Dinner @the Hardrock.
Wednesday – South Beach, check out some important areas in South Beach spend all day in that area.
Thur- Get some rest during the day and then go to Little Havana and have lunch @ Versailles and wander around that side of town.
Friday – Wynwood walls spend the majority of the day and party in that area at night.
Saturday – Everglades, go on a airboat ride and hang out in that part of the city.
Sunday – Coconut Groove and Coral Gables.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For me my family first, they allowed me to be me and never forced a career path as well as always. being supportive. Along the way I have had some amazing relationships that have helped my growth personally and professional. The Swaggernautz, Andy Clay and Danny Boy Styles would be the first to come to mind on a professional level and personally aside from my family would be Richard Margolius who helped me tremendously with better financial decisions and smart choices with my money.
