We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalia Dalton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalia, what do you attribute your success to?

Our brand’s success has been a combination between our products, the extensive market research we’ve done, and the incredible team behind the brand.

We are a family owned and operated company. Everyone in our small but mighty team has worked extremely hard to get to where we are today.

Now regarding the products we make, we turned our favorite recipes from our mother’s home cooking into products. Our products are essential to our everyday cooking and they make our lives easier by helping us make quick and healthy meals at home. Our sauces not only have incredible flavor profiles, but also are made with clean ingredients and all the good stuff we like to feed our own family.

Lastly, we started testing our business at Farmers Markets. This gave us the opportunity to work directly with thousands of customers for feedback, and craft the ultimate condiments we have today in stores nationwide.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Saucy Lips Foods is a Mexican-American family-owned and operated company. My family is originally from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, where I grew up eating my mom’s delicious home cooking.

After moving to the US, we started making amazing hot sauces and marinades which have now grown to be carried in stores nationwide! We are currently releasing our most exciting product line yet: Authentic Mexican simmering sauces (Mole, Al Pastor, Green Enchilada, Red Enchilada, and Fajita sauce) which will be available at Whole Foods in the next few weeks.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I do have my to-go places here in Miami.

Whenever anyone visits me, the places I take them are: the Design district and a must stop is Aubi and Ramsa for their alcohol infused ice cream. It blows their mind every time.

For a super casual lunch spot, but the best sandwiches in town, I take them to Botta Italian Street Food on 79th st.

Wynwood is also a must stop. I love walking around the murals and visiting 1-800-Lucky for a beer and a poke bowl. The fried rice is amazing too. For a good taco, I visit The Taco Stand, but I bring my own hot sauce!

A more upscale place I love to visit is Amara at Paraiso for their happy hour and the breathtaking views of Miami. Toscana Divino in Brickell for Italian.

I am in the food industry so I could go on and on about great food places.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother for her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. She is the original creator of all our sauces. The flavors you get when trying our products is what her home-cooking tastes like.
