Melissa Jean | Cosmetics Brand Owner & Notary Public/ Loan Signing Agent
Yes, my brand is currently solely based online. I actually find it quite rewarding because I’m able to reach a broad variety of consumers in a short amount of time. The advice I would give is to find your target audience so you don’t waste a lot of time and resources focusing on things that may perhaps stunt your growth. What work well for others may not necessarily work well for you. Consistency is key as well as an up to date website that’s easy to maneuver with clear pricing and product descriptions. Also sms and/ or email campaigns alongside customer testimonials works great when landing sales especially when offering discount codes. Clear, professional, high quality photos and videos are a must also as well as daily content with a clear concise call to actions that will lead your consumers to your website is also a great way to grow online.
About me: I own a cosmetics brand that’s based online. All of our products are cruelty free and we offer everything from high quality matte lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, vegan lipgloss, organic skincare products and more.

Shantel Davis | Fashion Designer
I sell my Custom Made Clothing Designs online. You can find me on Mercari, Etsy, Poshmark,OfferUp and Depop. I also sell my clothes at Consignment Corner Shop in my area. So I try to sell in various ways online, in person or over the phone. I have sold a lot of my designs, what really works for me is the right buyers are buying from me. I also had a Model that I have been working with her name is Monica Faulk she has modeled all of my outfits and she bought most of them and the others she put them at YWCA Thrift Shop and she told me all of my items sold. So it’s a matter of finding the right customers that will support you. She resides in Pennsylvania. I have been working with her for 2 years. She is also a Promoter, Model Recruiter and Graphic Designer. She also helped me by creating flyers to push sales and they have worked. My advice is if anyone wants to sell online look for a consistent traffic of buyers or potential buyers that will really support what you are selling. Keep on advertising even if they don’t respond right away. Also when selling online use a solid white background or use an app that will allow you to choose solid backgrounds, that will make your products stand out. Clearly it has worked for me. Oh and lastly take clear pictures front and back if necessary.
