We had the good fortune of connecting with Ines Vieira and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ines, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Habits are really important for me. I try to exercise at least 4 days a week, read everyday and being outdoors.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am proud of having had the courage to start without knowing anybody in the industry that could help me or give me advice. Starting from the ground was very hard but the difficulties keep arriving on different forms. That is why I believe that the most important thing is to believe in your mission and product and love it 100%.
My brand was born after a frustrating career in fashion in which I felt uninspired by the way the fast-fashion company where I worked was creating clothing. I decided that I wanted to create beautiful garments at a slower path and that is how the idea for Norte was born.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love going to Bill Bags in Key Biscayne where you can ride a bike and them have lunch at Boaters Grill for some really good fresh fish. I would also go walk around Wynwood and find time to visit one of my favorites Spanish restaurants, Leku which has delicious Spanish food. After lunch, you can visit the Rubell museum that is right next to the restaurant.
I love also visiting Miami beach where I like to rent a bike and them have a drink at The Standard Hotel.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
my parents for always giving me freedom and believing in me and my husband for his unconditional support.
