We had the good fortune of connecting with Giuseppe Pistone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giuseppe, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to never give up. Don’t listen to the noise of the naysayers. Most people aren’t that way to be mean- they just too afraid to take a risk. Stay focused, positive & keep reminding yourself why you started your business to begin with.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First of all the 1 thing I am most proud of is the hundreds of families that we have been able to help over the years personally. As a company, we have helped thousands of families. The feeling of helping others and seeing the excitement on their faces never gets old. We pride ourselves on always treating people with honesty, respect, sincerity and ALWAYS being professional! People are trusting us with one of the important financial decisions of their life – if not the most important. That is a responsibility that can not be taken lightly.

I try to create relationships with the people I help. I explain to them from the start that this is not a transaction. This is a relationship that will continue well beyond the successful closing of their property. It not easy to maintain the relationships at times. Life happens and other things can get in the way. However, i do the best I can and when i call them it’s like speaking with an old friend. Just catch-up and see how everything is going. It’s not about real estate – it’s about catching up!

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are to always be honest! If i make a mistake – I own up to it! Period – end of story! No one is perfect and people know that and if you’re honest and own your mistake most people can be forgiving and understanding.

Our brand has been in the business of helping families since 1971! Over 50 years! Companies don’t last that long unless they deliver what they promise. I have been in real estate for over 18 years and i try to deliver the best of me to everyone I work with. I come from a family of restauranteurs. Our family has been in the Pizza Restaurant business since 1958. The idea of serving people has been ingrained in me since I was a child. I am here to serve and give back.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in South Florida our options are many! Probably start the weekend at Hollywood Beach. The beaches are amazing, their are some excellent restaurants and some of the people walking the boardwalk can be very interesting to look at – to say the least!

For dinner we would definitely go down to Las Olas Blvd. There are some of the best places to eat there. From Italian, Mexican, sushi & just about anything you can think of. They have a huge selections of places to have drinks and even a few where you can enjoy a good cigar!

We would also visit some of the local marinas. They have some great restaurants, live music, boats & water views.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The book that most impacted my professional life was The E-Myth by Michael Gerber. It taught me about being organized and how import systems are. How to get repeatable results from just implementing the right systems.

Also, to my parents for teaching me the importance of hard work.
