We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Coriolan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Where do I start? First let me say it is extremely important to make sure that you have a work life balance. It’s so easy to get caught up in a routine that circles around your business. You forget to focus on you. For me i noticed that all of the things I love doing came time a stop, and I wasn’t doing them anymore. It can get overwhelming running a business. I started to take more days off to focus on me, and what makes me happy. As well as getting back into the hobbies that I enjoyed like working out, rollerblading, bike riding, or even going out for dinner/drinks with friends. Taking a mental break from work is completely healthy, and well needed when running a business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So as you may know already I own a medical spa in Orlando FL. What sets me apart from others? well we are pretty much a one stop shop facility where you can come and get so many services done in one location. We offer facials from your standard basic facial to advanced facials, botox, lip filler, laser hair removal, full body wax, body contouring, eyelash extension, IV hydration, yoni steam, and full body waxing, We offer top of the line service and clients always leave satisfied. When I started my business in 2019 I gave myself a 5 year goal to get to where I am today and I did it in 2 years.  I have a real passion for what I do. I’m super proud of myself that I was able to accomplish my goal in less time, and the business is doing very well. The journey to get here was not easy I had so many bumps along the way where I feel most people would have given up. But I was determined to turn all the “no’s” to a “yes”. I would make smaller goals that would get me closer to where I wanted to be. Really just taking everything one step at a time. I’ve learned along the way that opening and running a business is not as easy as some people make it seem. It comes with a lot of patience, consistency, help, and organization. I was always the type of person who would never ask for help until I realized as a business owner you need a village.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a thrill seeker I like food, any outdoor activities or anything that will give a slight adrenaline rush. Food is a happy place for me lol hence why I have to workout so much. So we would go to several different places for breakfast I would take her to Hash house A Go Go, Keke’s, or Le Cafe De Paris. For Lunch I would do Greens and Grille Tako Cheena, or Hawkers. For Dinner we would go to Capital Grille, Eddie V’s or any restaurant that sells good crab cakes because I love crab cakes. For fun we would definitely have to go to the beach because that’s always a vibe. Bike riding,bar hopping, bowling, and I always wanted to try axe throwing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My sisters Sandra and Minouche for supporting me from day one. I love you guys!  As well as my best friends Sherby and Kristen. I love these ladies as they played a huge roll in the success and support of my business from the start. There was never any doubt about anything even when I came to them with the idea or thought to start my business. All I heard from my circle was “girl go for it you got this”  I really appreciate all of you.
