We had the good fortune of connecting with Saari Cohen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Saari, what role has risk played in your life or career?
First I like to analyze the risk and ask questions like, what could be the possible results of this risk? Will taking this risk push me to get one step further towards what I have envisioned for myself and/or for the future of my business? I also like to think about the benefits of taking the risk. Will taking this risk set me on the path I want to be on? Does this risk makes sense financially and/or emotionally?
Taking risks plays a big part in my life and my career. With risk-taking comes progress, growth, development, expansion, creativity, opportunities, and valuable lessons.
What should our readers know about your business?
Standing out is a very important aspect of any business, especially in the real estate business. There’s always going to be competition, which is a good thing because I feel that the competition pushes me to think outside of the box. I feel that one of the many things that I have to offer, and what sets me apart from the others is that I have a very imaginative and creative brain. I enjoy using my creativity in different ways especially when it comes to marketing. I like to take a different approach to maximize the exposure of a home or property up for sale so it’s a big win for my clients and that’s not only exciting to me but it’s also satisfying. For my buyers, I use somewhat of a different approach, yet still, pay attention to other small, but very important details.
There are a lot of exciting moments in my business, one of them is to share such a significant time in someone’s life. The excitement of buying and/or selling a home, for most, is the beginning of a new chapter and it’s always exciting to be a part of that.
One important lesson that I have learned along the way is to focus on the plan & not the problem. In the past, I have tried branching out on my own and have failed many times doing so. I could have easily put the blame on someone or something else, but what good would that do? For me to stop trying wasn’t even a thought because I would never be fully satisfied until I had something of my own.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy but I have learned a lot along the way, many being from different people, situations, life experiences, victories, and failures.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This will depend on what my friend is into. If my friend leaves the itinerary up to me they would get a little bit of everything that makes South Fl special, which in my opinion is the lifestyle and the cultural mix, We would take a stroll down LittleHavana where we will do some food tasting, (empanadas, arepas, pastries) coffee drinking, cigar-smoking, and maybe check out some art. I am an outdoorsy person. I love the sun, I love the water and I love speed, so my idea of fun would be a speed boat ride up and down the coastline checking out the city sights! Maybe even doing an airboat tour in the everglades. Hang out at the Versace mansion, have a few drinks and bites, maybe do a little shopping in Bal Harbour. I have a new favorite restaurant at the moment, It is called El Cielo, and it’s located on Brickell in downtown Miami and sits on the river. It was such a unique dining experience, it must have been an 8-course meal. The drinks were out of this world. I had this black jalapeno margarita which was a perfect combination of spicy, sour, and a hint of sweetness, 100% amazing. They also use organic ingredients and serve everything on your plate like a work of art. It’s definitely a place to check out while in Miami.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I was lucky enough to have an amazing woman to look up to which was my grandmother. She was so strong and sharp, with such an elegant demeanor, I learned a lot from her. I owe my perseverance to my entire family. they have always set a good example for me and have been great role models.
