We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Bacon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
We opened our party planning business in November 2019. As we all know it was in the middle of a Pandemic! SE Florida was ramping up for the third COVID challenge and we persevered by putting our faith in GOD to help us grow and we are very excited to announce that this November, we will be celebrating our one year anniversary! Due to our constant dedication and team work ,we have flourished into a profitable business in 2021 and are looking forward to an even better 2022. We are proud that we were invited by 2 two radio live stream stations for an interview about our growing company and all of the unique presentations / gorgeous balloon decor that they were seeing all over social media! It is also an honor to have Shout Out Miami wanting to interview us as well! We feel so blessed and grateful for the constant referral business we continue to receive from family and friends!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Lady Ashley Party Planning is all about the DETAILS! We go to great lengths to beautify what was once a basic balloon garland by adorning it with props and accessories such as gorgeous flowers with greenery and color coordinated butterflies to help the garland stand out and make our clients so happy. Everyone of our tablescapes are given the same TLC… For example tying a basic cloth napkin into a beautiful custom made bow tie with a coordinating napkin ring, All of our unique flower bouquets that we make have something special that helps them stand out such as a butterfly.

We are extremely aware of how important follow-up is… Once our clients reach out to us, we hand hold them throughout the entire process. We keep them informed every step of the way while appreciating their input along the way. Once the event is over we always send a hand written thank you note expressing our gratitude. Most of our past clients seem to become friends because we treat our own clients just like they are our own families, just like it say on our website, This is why we have a tremendous referral business which we are incredibly grateful for!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If we had our dear friends coming into town, we love the idea of taking them down to Key West, Florida.We live in South Florida so it would be an easy carefree drive….. Once you reach your destination, you can kick back, slip into a comfy tee shirt, cute shorts and flip flops if you like! Now, it is time to disconnect, recharge your batteries and take a break from work schedules. There is so much to do from day to night! We highly recommend experiencing one of the very quaint, centrally located and beautifully decorated BED N BREAKFAST INNS….our favorite was the OLD TIME MANOR right off of the famous Mallory Square and the Duval St.….Your first stop must be the SOUTHERN POINT TIP for your customary photo op. After that, you might want to pop into the world famous SLOPPY JOES on Duval St. for some delicious food and fun, Caribbean libations, along with fun musical entertainment. You are sure to have a great time. Take a stroll along Mallory Square for your souvenirs, entertainment and watch the breathtaking sunset over the water! While you are there, make sure you take a romantic cruise on the Key West Sunset Cruise catamaran. Make sure you get to rent the jet skis and go fishing, swimming, etc…

You should rent a moped and cruise the island, or drive an electric car if you prefer. There are so many museums rich with endless history and of course, check out the Mel Fisher Museum to view all of the recovered sunken treasure! Treat yourself to an Atocha piece of jewelry.
